Way back when I was introduced to Kylie Scott by one of my first GoodReads book friends. In the form of a dystopian zombie novella. Then obviously I started the stage dive series and read a few of her other books here and there.
So when I saw the blurb for this I wanted to check it out. And then it landed on my kindle and I wasn't sure if I was in the right mood to read it. But I woke up this morning and figured I would dip my toe in. And then I didn't put it down because this book kept me on my toes.
Dean and Astrid hardly had a standard meet cute but it was unique and something to tell the grand kids. The whole story felt kind of how I imagined the apocalypse would go. And the characters were so realistic and easy to relate to. I genuinely enjoyed reading this.
Everything about the story just flowed so naturally. Even the relationship progression felt perfect. My only complaint was that it's ended and I wasn't ready to say goodbye yet.
Blurb
👑 An accidental marriage, forbidden, billionaire romance From USA Today and #1 Amazon Bestselling Author Bella Matthews.
In my defense, I never planned on marrying my husband.
But after one wild night and one too many cocktails, I wake up tangled in silk sheets, with a diamond ring on my finger, a sinfully sexy prince next to me in bed, and palace guards banging on the door with devastating news.
The king is dead.
And apparently, my accidental husband is next in line for the throne.
Now I’m stuck navigating crowns, cameras, and a man I barely know but somehow can’t keep my hands off—all while figuring out what to do with this mistake of a marriage.
But Rhys Windsor doesn’t look at me like a mistake. He looks at me like I’m his only truth.
They say a little white lie never hurt anyone . . . but this little lie could destroy a dynasty.

Damn. Now that's how you end a series. Since the first book by this author, I've been obsessed and every time I think the current book is my favourite. Honestly the writing is just awesome and the characters I can genuinely see having posters of them on my walls, they feel that real to me.
Rhys and Bellamy started off with such a bang and the chemistry just kept getting hotter. Everything about their relationship was so sweet and beautiful and natural. Despite the fact I completely can't relate to the position they were in I felt like I was living it with them. I was that invested in them.
From memory this book was a bit of an unplanned add on to the series and I couldn't be happier. The only thing I will say is that we really need Atticus to get his own book. Although that said regardless of who the next book is about I'll be grabbing it at the first available opportunity.
This is
another one of those moments where I completely hate my brain along with a few
random strangers. I fell into the alphaletes series by fluke and loved it. As I
put down each book, I added the next one to KU and then took my sweet time
getting to it only to want to kick myself for it. Then I was trying to pick
what to read next and I made the epic mistake of reading reviews.
Now my first
question is why the F do people feel the need to write a “review” about a book
they haven't read. Or give their opinions on things that they are assuming
happened. Because honestly, I had this sour taste in my mouth picking this up
assuming that those reviews were genuine reviews of the book. And I almost
removed it from my kindle and skipped to the next one. To those people, FU.
Because this
book was nothing but awesome. And the whole story had literally nothing to do
with the ex-wife, his man wh0re ways, or Scarlett ever being second best to
anyone. They just had bad timing and realistic circumstances that got in their
way. And that goes for both of them. Scarlett wasn't sitting around pining for
him, watching him screw his wife. She was living her life and having a great
friendship with the guy she has been friends ONLY with since they were 7.
Ok rant
over. The book was great. I loved catching up with the alphaletes. Trevor
redeemed himself hugely and so freaking hotly I actually had to take a moment
to cool down. Slater was an epic hero who loved Scarlet so completely it was
sweet and also oh so hot. The dirty talk was on point.
The twist at
around the 70% mark was huge and took me on a journey I absolutely didn't for a
second even suspect. I struggled to put it down. The ending was cute, but I
wanted more (I'm greedy AF) but now I get to read Trevor's book and I just know
we are going to get a lot of future alphaletes and their beautiful wives and
possibly more children so I'm off to grab it on KU and hopefully read it sooner
than later.
So, I saw
some tropes and read that it was an introductory novella for a new series, and I
thought it sounded awesome. And in I dive only to get so invested and have it
end. Unfinished and with me dying to get the rest of the story.
Because
Camden was exactly the slightly unhinged, morally grey, alpha hole I needed to
read right now. And even though I wanted to slap Harper more often than not I
actually ended up liking her. And I can't blame her for the way she reacted to
Camden.
But honestly,
I couldn't put this down and when I hit the end of it, I immediately ran off to see when the next book is out because I absolutely can't handle any waiting
between my books. And I don't have an answer, and I really need to see what's
going to happen next.
Sarina Bowen
is an author that I never check the blurb for. And I can honestly say that the
way she writes I am absolutely thrilled regardless of if it's a hockey romance,
the female hockey franchise, a MM romance or any of the amazing other tropes
and themes she's written. Because her writing is so good I honestly think she
could make me invested in dirt.
This book
started off with a very upset Jethro and an equally unhappy Clay for different
reasons and the same cause. And I completely sympathised with them both. Then
we got to see their history and I was even more understanding of their
animosity.
But geez
these two guys brought the chemistry. And they completely defined the whole
forbidden romance. Normally that adds to the steam and excitement but in this
case it just added to the angst and made my heart hurt for them. Because they
had so many things to work out. And then Jethro just went and made it all look
like it was easy, and I fell even more for him.
Seeing
Newgate get his happily ever after was just the cherry on top. And the news
clipping at the end of the book just tipped me over into grinning like an
idiot. I can't wait to see what's next from this team. And if MM is your thing
you are going to love every word of this book. And if it isn't read any other
book from this amazing author and then maybe try dip your toe in because I swear,
she does it like few others can.
Every time a
new Until book comes out, I can't wait to get my grabby hands on it. Since I
first picked up Until November, I have been obsessed with the entire Mayson family,
and I am absolutely dreading the end of this amazing family. Aurora Rose
Reynolds has been an automatic one click author since that first book.
Bax was
everything that we can expect from a Mayson man. His past is less than
desirable, but from the second he lays eyes on Olivia the “boom” hits and he is
the perfect over the top, possessive alpha. And of course, for Olivia that
means nothing but trouble without her even realising.
Of course we
got a beautiful, caring, sweet, strong woman who has absolutely no idea of all
that is about to befall her. The good and the bad, but I was there for every
word of it and I didn't want to leave for a second. And now I go back to
impatiently waiting for the next one.
From USA
Today and #1 Amazon Bestselling Author Bella Matthews comes a Single Mom,
Marriage Of Convenience, Hockey Romance.
You’d
think a romance author would know better than to fall for her fake husband.
It’s the oldest trope in the book . . . literally. But it turns out writing it
and living it are two very different things.
The plan was
enticing—marry hockey’s hottest player so I could receive my inheritance and
give my daughters the life they deserve. I’m already a single mom at
twenty-five—how hard could it be?
Well . . .
the answer is harder than you think because Leo Sinclair is so much more than I
bargained for. Six foot, four inches of toned muscle and golden skin wrapped
around the most perfectly chiseled jaw and dangerously charming smile. I knew
he’d be hard to resist . . . but it’s not just his looks that weaken my
resolve.
It’s the way
he wins over my daughters with ease.
The way he
sees through my defenses and quiets my fears.
The way he
says “my wife” like he means it.
Suddenly,
this arrangement doesn’t feel so fake. And I’m no longer sure which of us is
playing pretend.
But when
love wasn’t part of the deal, will saying “I do” turn out to be his biggest
regret—or mine?

I am so
obsessed with Bella Matthews books it's bordering on a problem. The minute I
could I stuck off to read a chapter or two before bed. Cue the book hitting me
in the face around the 50% mark because I can't bring myself to put it down.
Then I'm having to adult all day before I finally get to finish it. And now I'm
miserable because I've finished it and have to wait for the next one.
I really
love the whole marriage of convenience trope, and a single parent is just
icing. Add in the fact this is part of a large sporting family dynamic and I
really couldn't ask for more. There are so many amazing secondary characters
and the very much loved first generation I really am in my happy place every
time I pick one of these books up.
Addie and
Leo were sizzling hot. And although their relationship progressed quickly it
felt really natural and organic. The way Leo instantly took to Izzy and Lennox
and loved them like his own had my ovaries exploding every time he loved on
them. Then we got the whole growly, possessive “my wife” and sign me up for one
please.
The book had
all the spice, sweetness, romance and drama that I want to stay wrapped up in
all things Kroydon Hills. So, I guess I'll just go back to not so patiently
waiting for the next one.
Picking up
this book was 110% a no brainer. I can't get enough of Sarina Bowen, but to get
a true north novella is just the cherry on top. I will admit to a little bit of
disappointment when I realised that the of the 3 stories in this edition only 1
was new. But I got over it as soon as I picked it up because omg we get more
true north.
This is the
first time in years that I've read a story in third person, and I thought I
might struggle with that. But by the second page I was too busy asking what are
you going to do next Damien? And being completely smitten by both him and
Nicolette.
The passing
of years had me a little impatient and I can completely see why this book is
called crossroads with the number of times these guys paths crossed. I was
dying for each meeting to be the time all that insane chemistry came to a head.
And then it would pass, and I'd deflate a little. I literally felt like I was
holding my breath for half the book, and I didn't want to put it down. Luckily
it was a novella.
When they
finally got on the same pages it was sweet and cute and so perfect. Followed by
hot as hell. My only complaint is that it was a novella, and I want so much
more. More of his family, more of them together, more of her family falling off
a cliff and a certain someone being hit by a bus. But that's always how I feel
when I put down a Sarina Bowen novel so now, I just have to wait for her next
book.
This book was exactly what I needed. While also
being exactly what I wasn’t expecting when I picked it up. The first book in
the series was set in college and I assumed this one would be too. But once I
picked it up, I didn’t care at all that it wasn’t set in college because I was
so busy falling for these characters and waiting for the drama bombs to start
dropping.
From the first page I was in and needing to know
exactly what had happened to get Vi to that point. Then we jump to the first
chapter and Declan was beyond perfect, and an idiot, at the same time, but in
all the right ways and for all the right reasons and I just couldn’t get enough
of him. Their relationship happened so organically and realistically and just
smoothly but with so many little strings left dangling that I couldn’t put it
down. I had so many theories of how things were going to be revealed and what
was going to be the fallout of each revelation.
We got the perfect amount of the OG characters and
a great introduction to some new characters. But I was so busy obsessing over
Vi and Declan and how perfectly they handled everything involving Tucker. I had
all the feels while reading this, but the main one was just pure swoon over
Declan. I am off to add the next one to my kindle. Toodles

I put off
reading this because after I read the blurb, I knew I was going to feel all the
feels and I seriously don't have time to cry randomly. Then I woke up feeling
lazy and thought I'd read a little bit before I got up. And now it's the
afternoon and I've just put it down.
Yeah I felt
all the feels and I cried and I got mad and I hated people, only to fall hard
for them later. And when I realised that Charlie was a Barnes, I nearly lost my
mind. I am obsessed with Natasha Madison's large families and how beautifully
interwoven all their stories are. So, whenever they pop up it's like a little
Easter egg I can't help but savour.
From the
start my heart broke for Autumn. And seeing Charlie take out his pain on her I
wanted to watch him burn. But damn once he got his head out of his arse he gave
great grovel and amazing boyfriend. And I loved that Autumn fought so hard to
turn everything around, even if she never should have had to.
The whole
book had me flipping pages like a fiend and I couldn't stand having to put it
down to adult. There were a few things I would have liked different, but that's
just me. I want vengeance to be bloody and painful. I also would kill for an
epilogue of the future but again I'm just greedy. I can't wait for Brady’s book
next. And fingers crossed we will see more of these guys in the future in that
anyway so win win win.
I stumbled upon this Facebook group for obsessed
alphas and wondered why it took Facebook this long to put us together. Then I
kept seeing all these books and I'll be honest, a lot of them are outside my
normal genres. I love OTT, obsessed alphas, but I'm not huge on mafia or MC or
anything too dark. And sadly, those were a lot of the recommendations.
Then this book was recommended and the review I
read had me adding it to my TBR, not really thinking I'd be reading it any time
soon. Until I saw that it had released, and I read the blurb again and one
clicked it on KU. I picked it up read the first two pages, didn't get a great
vibe, got distracted by children and left it forgotten. Fast forward a few days
and I picked up my kindle, figured I would read a bit more …….. and never put
it down again.
So initially, Alex wasn't my type of hero. He was
into a lot of things I can do without, and I was expecting the typical man
whore scenes from the author to prove how bad he was. Then we met Olivia. And
Alex was my kind of crazy. He was so instantly all in and there was so many
twists and turns and secondary characters I was as completely in as he was.
The only surprise bigger than how much I enjoyed
this crazy, wild ride is the fact this is only the authors second book. Because
you know as soon as I put this down, I went to see what I was adding to my TBR
from the author. So, I guess for now I just have to keep my eyes open for the
next one.

My
football player ex cheated on me, so the last thing I need is to fall for
another quarterback. Especially when he’s still mourning his baby mama who
tragically passed away.
After I
accidentally plow my car into Nick Silva’s bumper, I can’t blame him for not
hiring me to be his daughter’s nanny, but I’m still salty about it. I need the
money to go on a trip of a lifetime, one my ex didn’t want me to take.
The worst
part is Nick just moved in next door.
I’m sure he
associates me with my dirtbag ex—his former teammate—so I try to avoid my
neighbor whenever possible.
But when his
new babysitter gets locked out of the house, leaving Nick’s four-year-old alone
inside, I attempt to rescue her by breaking in through a window.
Unfortunately,
I have a wardrobe malfunction and end up flashing my goodies to the whole
neighborhood, Nick included.
Because of
my embarrassing heroics, Nick’s now convinced I’d be a great nanny.
The trouble
with football players is they’re very persuasive, so I agree to take the job
but immediately regret it.
Who needs to
see a gorgeous, shirtless man jumping rope and doing push-ups in gray
sweatpants? Who wants to watch a sexy, single dad snuggle his little girl and
read her bedtime stories? Who enjoys working closely with a walking, talking
thirst trap every single day?
Fine. I do.
I want all of that, but I already swore I’d never date another jock after the
last one stomped all over my heart, so this bookworm needs to play it safe.
But rumor
has it Nick has a new girlfriend, which helps me maintain appropriate
boundaries.
Because I
won’t be blindsided by another quarterback again.
Blindside
Beauty is an
angsty nanny romance featuring an adorkable, accident-prone bookworm and a
struggling, grumpy single dad. If you enjoy close proximity, enemies-to-lovers
vibes, opposites attract, small towns, and college football, you’ll love this
steamy final addition to the USA Today bestselling series Varsity Dads.
