The first thought that came to mind when I put this book down was that they saved the best for last but then I sat back and reflected and honestly, they were all equally awesome. Each book had a different trope, and each sister had their own uniqueness and each of the men had their own history that made each book different enough that I binged all four of these back-to-back without feeling like I needed a break. They could be read as stand alones but they didn’t recap the family history, they just covered it from their own point of view and I loved that they were each affected so differently because that’s life’s beauty.

I really expected to get Isabel’s story a lot sooner in the line-up after seeing the moment that Aiden and Isabel first crossed paths and assuming he was going to be the love interest for her story. So, waiting until the last book was just a huge tease. Add in the fact that Isabel was definitely the most closed off sister and I never really felt like I knew her as well as the others. And once I started reading her book, I realised I really didn’t know anything about her. Which makes sense in the scheme of her age when her mother left.

Aiden and that prologue had me nervous that he wasn't the best choice for Isabel. I always hate the dead spouse thing. It's such a tightrope to get the balance right for the second chance. Especially when there are children involved. But it was done so well and Aiden's initial hesitance even made it better. Obviously, Isabel knew that found family is as precious as born family, so her love and acceptance of Aiden's past made it even more of a non-issue.

But now I'm devastated that the series is over. Although I have a few more Wolves books to read so hopefully I'll catch up with these guys again soon. Although I accidentally read Emmett's book first without realising who he was. Not that I can be upset since he led me to this awesome binge.

Geez these books just keep hitting me in the feels and you would think by now I would be expecting it a little more but nope. I don't even know how I thought this book was going to play out with the whole story being based around a whoops baby, but I really didn't think it would have that much depth.

Not that the author's books haven't proven to me that she can deliver the deep, just that I come out of each of them with a smile and an OMG I need the next book now. I think I forget that I spent half of the book going holy shit how are they going to deal with this emotional fallout. And then the Ward family close ranks and remind me how badly I want to be adopted by a fictional family.

So, Lia was awesome and completely mature and well-grounded, and all boss bitch and I loved her. She put her baby and her emotional health over her hormones and honestly deserves a medal since she had a hot soccer player with a British accent waiting for her in bed. Jude was ok. He was an idiot, but in that good way where he realised it and went right to work to make everything perfect for Lia.

I am loving this Ward sister binge and getting so much of Paige and Logan and these athletes these ladies keep finding. I have been dying for Isabel's book since Molly's book and yes, it's already on my kindle. I love KU.

Gah, that story was so hot and yet so sweet. I put down the last book then read the teaser for this one and immediately grabbed this on KU.

Reading this was a lot more emotional than I expected from reading the blurb. I think I expected a cute little mistaken identity between twins or maybe some BFF drama. And what I got was so much deeper and made me feel so much for both Claire and Bauer. Their history was so different, and they seemed to have such opposite personalities and yet they were so awesome together.

There was a lot less of the Ward family than I would have liked. But they definitely made up in quality for what we lacked in quantity. I have held off reading the teaser for the next book because I know once I read it, I'll be on KU grabbing it. And now my patience has run out and I have to see what's next. Toodles

I recently binged the Washington Wolves series and when I got to the end I wanted more. Thankfully when I started stalking, I found this series and reading the blurb for this I immediately grabbed it from KU. I am so excited to get to stay with some awesome characters and get to know more about some others.

Since I had read the previous books, my first introduction to Noah and Molly was when Molly was 16 and trying to seduce Noah. And I thought that was the end of that. From the first page of this book, I was so invested in both characters. And having that moment being such a pivotal point for Noah was icing on the cake.

Molly was obviously older and wiser. And she has matured into an awesome person who I really liked. The whole story was told from a unique angle, and I enjoyed watching it all unfold. I honestly think I would have loved this if I'd read it as a standalone, but I adored it having the background knowledge of the secondary characters.

Thankfully this series and a few other related books are available in KU, so I'm going to be wrapped up in the Washington Wolves for a while. Kisses

Cocky football star Knox Fisher has been driving me crazy for years.

I’m one of the few female coaches in the league. I shouldn’t want someone who has the power to jeopardize my entire career, especially someone seven years my junior.

But I can’t stay away.

We keep the sizzling chemistry between the two of us.

A glance here. A touch there. I live for the stolen moments with him.

I know he wants more, but more is dangerous. If anyone saw us together, I could lose my job and be blackballed from the league.

There’s no way this relationship can end with anything but a broken heart, yet I can’t resist him.

I might be his coach, but this player is about to teach me a thing or two about love.

To the Karen who has reported two of my posts today that were both over 3 years old, I am sorry you found those posts offensive. Maybe next time you might consider sending me an email and explaining why you found a romance book release blitz or blog tour offensive.

I understand that you don't know me but here's the thing. Its 5 days before Christmas and our household is insane right now. Much like every other household I imagine. My blog is something I actually do purely for me as an escape from the world and to give back to the romance authors who provide me with a break from the very real fact that there are so many horrible people walking around and I have to hear about the shit things they do to their children.

The main part of our insane time right now is aside from our 5 biological children we currently have 4 foster children. Which in and of itself makes Christmas insane. But this year is especially horrible as one of our children is being reunified with his father, which normally would be a good thing except it has triggered his PTSD, so we have a 7-year-old in a constant state of fight or flight screaming that we don't care because we are making him go back to his dad who is going to hurt him. And when we have tried to speak to the people who actually make these decisions their answer was to speed up the reunification.

So, after having a Pepper Pig house launched at my leg and a whole room trashed and a reindeer beheaded and being screamed at about how my 4-year-old foster baby is a fucking bitch for two hours because she made the mistake of asking why he was throwing said Pepper Pig house at me. We have all of the children in bed, and I have retired to my bedroom to unwind and post a blog tour to my blog to find 2 posts have been reported. Funnily enough I sent them to be reviewed after making zero changes, because I couldn't see how they violated anything, and both have been reinstated. Because despite me having an 18+ warning on my blog I generally don't post a single thing that would warrant that warning.

Anyway, normally I wouldn't unload on here but tonight I just couldn't be bothered internalizing your issues so I thought I would come and offer you some suggestions on finding your own bit of escape. Perhaps you could kick some puppies or steal some dummies from orphans. Or you know you could try find something else that makes you happy and brings you peace and not try crap on other peoples. And to the people who are reading this that aren't Karen Merry Christmas if that's your thing and if it's not I hope you're happy and safe and enjoying the end of another year and looking forward to next year.

“Do you want to listen to music?” I asked softly. “Or talk radio?”

“No, thank you,” he said shortly, shifting in his seat again while he kept on staring and frowning out the window. “You’ll need to take a right when you get to Old Whiskey Road.”

“You don’t want to go through downtown Alenbach?”

“No. I’ve seen it before.” His response was uncharacteristically irritable.

Fighting a bout of nerves, I considered my next question, or whether I should ask a question.

One popped in my head and I wondered if it was too personal. But you know what? I decided, to heck with it. I wouldn’t see Cyrus again after today, not in any meaningful way. If he clammed up, so be it. I had nothing to lose.

I waited another mile or so, then asked, “Do you miss it?”

—at the exact same time he demanded, “Why did you pick me up?”

Stiffening at the hostility in his tone, I redoubled my efforts to focus on the road and responded calmly, “I was already here and the studio asked.”

I got the sense he was waiting for me to continue. When I didn’t, he asked, “That’s it? There’s no other reason?”

Chewing on my bottom lip, my thoughts drifted to the watch in my pocket. “What other reason would there be?” I hedged, testing the wiper controls to see if it had a higher setting. It didn’t. I felt like we were creeping along at this point and we’d be lucky to make it before nightfall.

His eyes still on me, he grumbled something I missed, then asked, “Do I miss what?”

I considered saying, Nothing, forget it, but my reasoning for asking the question was still sound.

“Do you miss Texas? Do you miss being close to your momma and all these wide-open spaces? The culture out here?” I went back to chewing my bottom lip, feeling unaccountably nervous. Carefully, I slowed the car and turned onto Old Whiskey Road. This was the bypass road for Alenbach, which was still some thirty miles ahead.

The snow seemed to thicken while I waited for him to answer. We traveled another mile and I glanced at Cyrus, our eyes connecting for the first time since he’d arrived at the Austin airport.

I absorbed the shock of it, breathed through it. Meanwhile, he stared at me, some combination of puzzled and stunned.

Braving another quick look, I asked, “What’s wrong?”

“I believe that’s the first time you’ve asked me a personal question directly.”

Gripping the steering wheel tighter, I struggled with how to respond, and eventually blurted, “That can’t be true.”

“It is. What do you know about me?” The question sounded like an accusation. “We worked together for four months and not once—not once—did you make any effort to know me. Why is that?”

A hot, spiky feeling pressed uncomfortably outward against my skin. The truth was, I knew more than I wanted to admit. “I—I know plenty.”

“Really? How? Are you a mind reader? What am I thinking right now?”

My breath wanted to hitch. I wouldn’t let it. I tried to focus on my irritation, not this strange sense that I’d let him down.

“Go ahead,” he demanded. “Tell me what I’m thinking.”

Glancing at him, I saw a deeply furrowed brow, glinting narrowed eyes, mouth tugged down at the corners, jaw set. Cyrus looked more like his character Asmodeus than himself—a beautiful, surly, smoldering fallen angel instead of a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with too much energy and charisma.

“Well?” Cyrus pushed.

“Well, obviously you’re angry with me.”

“That’s right, I’m angry.”

“Fine. Be angry then!” I yelled.

“I don’t want to be angry with you!” he shouted back. “I want to be the opposite of—oh shit”—he braced his arm against the dash—“Stop!”

I saw the deer right before Cyrus did. It was huge. Despite my frazzled state of mind and his insistence that I do so, I did not stop. I didn’t swerve either, though every instinct screamed at me to yank the wheel to the right.

Did you know deer kill more people than any other animal? Snakes and sharks have nothing on Bambi. Some people think they’re cute, I blame Disney for that. They’re not cute, they’re dumb. If you’re unfortunate enough to see them in the road, stop only if it’s convenient and you spot them from a distance and it’s not a winter hellscape outside.

But since this one appeared like a serial killer in a snowy slasher flick, I didn’t stop. I pressed gently on the brakes, slowed, and braced for impact. It came with a forceful, bone-shaking boom. Airbags deployed, filling my face and vision. The jolt of it caused my foot to press harder on the brake—rookie mistake, I should’ve removed my foot—and that’s when the shit hit the fan.

I have been obsessed with all the words from the beautiful Aurora Rose Reynolds since I first picked up Until November. And with each book my obsession just keeps getting stronger. An added bonus is that after following her online for years she is just as beautiful a person inside and out as the amazing work she produces. Which makes me just want to scream from the rooftops even more how badly everyone needs to read these books.

Until Willow is a really typical book for this series, and I couldn't be happier to get my grabby hands on it. It literally has everything I could want in a book. The heroine is smart, capable and a beautiful person you just want to be besties with. The hero is all growly, protective, possessive alpha who is all about Willow from the first page. The secondary characters are awesome, even the ones that aren't Mayson's. And the storyline is completely engrossing. Oh, and let's not forget the cute as a button child and a few adorable pooches to make it perfect.

Clay was everything you could want and despite him having a few overbearing moments where I wanted to help Willow unman him, he was perfect. And I loved that he owned up to those moments and kinda apologised. And Willow didn't let him get away with it for a second, but she did let him explain and was forgiving and understanding. The whole book was just perfect.

I am so excited to hear that Clay's brothers are getting their own books. I mean let's be honest we are nearly out of Mayson's as well, so we are going to need some new bad arse men and some women to own them. The only bad thing about this book is that I've finished it and now I have to wait for the next one.
