Love Me Today by A.L. Jackson is now live!

A jaded single dad. A woman returning to her small-town roots. Neither was prepared for their paths to collide…

I should have known I was in trouble when I backed my old, beat-up truck into the shiny Range Rover.

The driver looked like a gorgeous fallen angel – one who’d been booted right out of paradise for being a giant prick.

Good thing I’ll never have to see him again.

Except when I show up for my new job to teach a little girl how to ride her horse, I find the same icy blue eyes glaring back at me.

Paisley Dae is completely reckless. She’s also the best trainer in this small town. And Evelyn gets the best.

Protecting the little girl is my one focus.

Only the sassy trainer in her cut-offs and cowgirl boots quickly gets under my skin. Distractions are dangerous, but she soon becomes everything I crave.

One reckless night of giving in, and Caleb and I spiral into a web of passion.

But when I begin to unravel the secrets hiding in this place, I find there is more riding on this job than I thought.

Caleb and Evelyn are worth any sacrifice – only Caleb has to decide what he will sacrifice for me…

This has been on my kindle for ever and on my TBR even longer, but I just never got the urge to read it. Then book slump hit and I was craving some old school KA, so I started. And now I have strongly mixed feelings about it.

First, I love KA and her alpha grunting manly men and their over the top crazy everyone loves them heroines. And normally I can skim over the overly wordy descriptions of everything. But this book just felt like too much of all of that. Why do they all have fantastic hair? And I have honestly never heard anyone talk like all these characters do.

The basis of the story was great. I connected with and cried with all the characters, and I couldn't put the book down. I just also rolled my eyes a lot and remembered that exactly line about her hair from the golden dynasty (best book ever) and wondered how many times she described his eyelashes or her outfits.

So yeah, mixed feelings.

I have such a weird brain sometimes, I love Jennifer Sucevic and read the earlier books in this series bought this and then never read it. And I can't even imagine why because it is chock full of some of my favourite tropes. Sports, brothers-best friend, help me lose my V card, he falls first. Really, what more could I want? And yet I just never could open it.

JT and Claire had this weird tension between them after being thrown together for the last three years. And I loved the tension between them. Especially getting JT's point of view and seeing what he was actually thinking each time he hit on Claire and had her shoot him down. I really loved that most of the story's drama was based around Claire and didn't really have much to do with JT's past.

The only complaint I have is that it felt like it finished too abruptly. The epilogue was awesome, but I wanted to see a few people get dropped on their heads. And some of the secrets come out and some of the family loose ends get resolved. It's like I was expecting all these things to be building to something and then one of them got resolved and the rest just got wiped away.

 🏒 NEW RELEASE 🏒

HATE YOU ALWAYS

by Jennifer Sucevic

NOW AVAILABLE!!

BLURB

It all starts with a bucket list and a romance novel…

I’ve known Ryder McAdams my entire life.  We’re neighbors and our families are besties.  He’s also friends and teammates with my younger brother, Maverick.

But Ryder and me?

We’ve never been close.  In fact, I’ve always gotten the distinct impression he doesn’t like me very much.  He goes out of his way to ignore me.

Know what makes it worse?

The electricity that hums in the air every time our gazes collide.  It sizzles through my body until I feel it in the tips of my fingers and toes.  Whoever said that you can’t control who you’re attracted to was, unfortunately, right.

I’ve done my best to stomp it out.

We’ve been at Western for three years and only come in contact when forced to interact.  He’s busy partying it up and getting it on with his fangirl club.  I’ve spent most of my college experience studying at the library so I can apply to the med school of my choice.

One drunken night changes everything when Ryder takes me home and finds the bucket list I wrote before freshman year.

Know how many things I’ve ticked off since then?

Zero.  Zilch.  Nada.

For some strange reason, Ryder decides he’ll be the one to help tackle each item before graduation.

That would be all fine and good, except there’s some pretty schmexy stuff on there…

Like the big O.

I am such a fan of Jennifer Sucevic's writing but I feel like I have so many more of her books to read. And whenever I pick up one of her books, I know I'm going to enjoy it. Her college sports romance are on point and hard to put down.

The whole sports hero teaching the smart girl how to let go and learn from him is one of my favourite tropes. And the chemistry between Juliette and Ryder from the first chapter had me so excited to see how things would go. Especially with him being all jealous and broody.

There were so many times I expected some sort of drama and I'm glad I was wrong. However, a few twists and turns in the relationship did drive me a little bit mad. Both Juliette and Ryder made stupid decisions for stupid reasons without any communication and that's one of my pet peeves. That said they were quickly resolved and before I could get too upset about it I was already dying to see what was going to happen next.

The epilogue was cute, but I really wanted more from it. But again, that's just me wanting more because Ryder gave amazing boyfriend, we just didn't get to see nearly enough of it. I'm so glad this is a series and as soon as I put this down, I'm off to add the next one to my TBR and see who it is. There are too many awesome secondary characters that I want to see next, it doesn't even matter who's book it is.

Second Chance Player by R.C. Stephens is now live!

The only thing I ever loved more than hockey?

Skylar Ward.

The one who got away, or rather the one I pushed away and into the arms of my hockey nemesis, when I left for a D1 college hockey team.

He broke her heart too. The only difference—he didn’t love her.

I did. I still do.

I think she loves me too. Even if she won’t admit it. Even if she doesn’t want to.

The sexy single mom is running the best defense I’ve ever encountered.

And as a top forward in the NHL, that’s saying something.

Lucky for me her son loves hockey.

He’s my biggest fan and I’m his.

Getting Skylar to give me a second chance isn’t going to be easy.

Good thing I play to win.

But what if our past isn’t the only thing standing in the way?

HOW TO WIN THE GIRL

Sara Ney

Release Date: May 24

FREE IN KINDLE UNLIMITED

I, Drake Colter, solemnly swear I do not want a girlfriend…

Carefree and ridiculously good-looking, I have the entire student body eating from the palm of my hand—shouldn’t I let the ladies on campus have their fill rather than being tied down? If only my brother Drew would take notes from my playbook. As identical twins, we share the same voice, the same face, and the same physique; it’s virtually impossible to tell us apart—but that’s where the similarities end.

Lately, my brother has been whining about wanting to settle down with. He longs for affection, companionship and all the bullshit that goes along with it blah blah blah. Problem is, he’s hopeless when it comes to dating. It’s seriously embarrassing to watch, considering we’re identical; everyone thinks I’m him and everyone thinks he’s me.

Luckily I’m not intimidated by woman and have plenty of experience. I might not want to find myself a girlfriend, but that don’t mean I can’t help him. Dude never needs to know!

And that’s the very thing that lands me in trouble…

Ahh!!! I have honestly been waiting for this book forever and yet I completely didn't expect THIS story. For starters there's only four Colter brothers and Drake still would have been my fifth choice of hero. Not because of anything other than the fact he was such a dedicated little manwhore running after the girls next door and driving his family nuts.

When we first met Daisy, I could see her being set up with Duke and Drake being the fly in the ointment. But as the book unfolded, I forgot all about Duke and couldn't get enough of Drake. Because man he was so clueless and yet it was kind of endearing.

Daisy's take no prisoners attitude and the way she called him on his cluelessness was not only exactly what he needed but also extremely entertaining. And her absolute lack of drama queen was refreshing for a new adult novel. She fits in perfectly with Ryann and Posey and I can see them all sitting around making the brothers sweat.

I can't wait to get Duke's story. I feel like he has the deeper layers of the twins. Plus, I just want more. This series has been a fun ride.

I am so enjoying the Campus Wallflower series. These ladies are just all so awesome, and I love them together almost as much as I love them individually. They complement each other so well and I love that they are staying as awesome as they started. I love even more how much these guys are all falling for them.

Felix and Dahlia were so cute together from the very beginning. Obviously, having read the earlier books, I love Dahlia. And I was happy to see Felix as her hero after reading his sister's books. He was such an awesome brother, and I really expected his sisters to give him a harder time than they did.

Watching Dahlia come out of her shell from the support Felix provided in endless supply was beautiful. Felix gave great boyfriend for a guy who really didn't want a girlfriend even when they were playing pretend. And the chemistry between them was so hot, I loved watching Felix trying to fight it to do what he felt was right for Dahlia.

This book was just so much fun to read and I am dying to see who gets Jane's attention in the next book. Although I really am going to be sad to see the end of this series.
