He may be a damaged player... but his magnetic touch and warm heart is making me feel alive again.
Cait
Ever since my accident, I feel like damaged goods. I do my best to hide in plain sight until the one guy I want to notice me... doesn't.
Westfall U hockey star, Evan Hayworth, is way out of my league. If I want him to see me as more than just his tutor, I'll need help igniting the spark.
Lucky for me, his hockey teammate comes to my rescue and makes me an offer I can't refuse-- I help him with science, and he will educate me in the bedroom.
A fake relationship with the most unavailable guy on campus seems like the perfect solution.
Noah is caring, loyal, and very good at pretending. Even I'm starting to believe the chemistry between us is real.
He may be a damaged player... but his magnetic touch and warm heart are making me feel alive again.
Noah
My life has been falling apart. After desperately trying to hold it together and focusing on hockey, the last thing I need is a serious relationship.
What I need is to keep my head in the game, but Cait is the exception to that rule.
Because hooking up with her is homework... or an experiment, depending on how you look at it.
I need a tutor to get my science grade up and she needs my expertise in the bedroom to give her the confidence to go for the guy she really wants... my teammate.
It's a win-win, until the variables change, and our combustible attraction takes us from friends to lovers.
Suddenly our fake relationship feels much too real and I'm regretting our little deal.

Grab this all-new small town romance TODAY!
Single mom Palmer Clark will not be sidelined by the new man in town. Sure, the honey-tongued baseball legend is gorgeous, loves puppies, and has charmed his way into the community’s heart, but Palmer craves stability. Nothing about Cole says forever. So why is he so hard to resist?
Cole is swinging through town to visit his parents when he meets the kind of down-to-earth distraction he’s been looking for since retiring from the majors. True, his long-term relationship score is zero. But even though raising his average with Palmer seems impossible, it’s worth a shot.
As promising as the summer nights are, fate turns small-town dreams upside down, and some lessons are learned the hard way. But having faith in love and choosing hope over fear might get Palmer and Cole to the sweet spot they’re looking for.
She resides in the Midwest with her husband, sons, and two dogs. She spends a large amount of time playing with her kids, drinking coffee, and cooking. You can find her outside if the weather's nice and there's always a piece of candy in her pocket.
Series
like this are why I absolutely love my KU. I came across the first book and
loved it so I grabbed the second one and then this one back to back. Because I
just couldn’t get enough of the characters or the writing. And then I saw that
Logan’s sisters have their own series in KU so now I know what my next few
reads are as well. And I couldn’t be happier, especially since we got the
little bit of background on the first book in this one. And I already feel like
I know the girls a little bit from this book.
But
for now, I probably should focus on Logan and Paige and the awesome book I just
read. Because going in I was so excited yet also a little apprehensive. Paige
was a bit intimidating, and Logan was so closed off. But I just knew if he
could let her in and she could curb her itchy feet they would be explosive as
hell. And I am so glad I was right.
Logan
was pretty closed off and once I understood why I just liked him even more.
Because he gave so much of himself to those he loved, and he went so far above
to make sure they were all ok. And once he surrendered to Paige and let her in
he was so hot. Like incinerate your panties hot. I couldn’t get enough of him
and the gentle way he looked after everyone around him. But then Paige stepped
up and proved that she was no slouch in the looking after those you love
department and I completely got over being intimidated by her and just wanted
to wrap her up and love her.
The
story between these guys was so easy to fall into and I couldn’t put it down.
And I even got a little bit emotional once I saw how beautiful these guys were
when they finally put down all their guards and just trusted in their feelings.
And like I said we now get to see the Ward sisters fall in love, and after the
teaser at the end of this book I am absolutely there for it.
As
soon as I finished The Bombshell Effect I ran straight back to KU and grabbed
this. I am so enjoying the world and characters and I am so upset there is only
one more book in the series. Thankfully I got to the party late though because
I still have a load more books from Karla Sorensen's library.
I
went into this with a little bit of an idea of who Ava was from the last book,
but Matthew was a new character. Seeing the unflappable Ava all flustered and
tongue tied was awesome, until we saw why. And I immediately loved her more and
desperately wanted her to tell her family to take a jump off a cliff.
Matthew
was so steadfast in his understanding of Ava's family issues since he had seen
them firsthand. So, from the moment he decided to go all in he was supportive
on Ava dealing with them how she felt was right and I appreciated that.
Especially since he was such a take control kind of guy.
The
chemistry was hot. And I loved watching their relationship develop with the
dual point of view. The drama was slightly predictable but not in a bad way,
just in a logical, realistic way. And I really didn't want to put it down. I'm
a little intimidated by Paige but I can't wait to see more of Logan so I'm off
to grab the next one and dive in.
I
could feel a book slump coming on when I put down my last read because it was
so good, I wanted to stay there and I didn't have anything I HAD to read. I
couldn't find anything I wanted to read. Every book on my kindle just wasn't it
and nothing on my TBR was grabbing me. So, I went over my recently read books
and checked out the recommendations on the ones that jumped out at me and ended
up here.
And
for once the system worked, I added this to my kindle and within the first few
pages I was invested. Allie was such a sweet "poor little rich girl."
She had such a fractured relationship with her recently deceased father and
then was given the team he had loved with no idea what to do with it. But she
was such a boss lady. She just jumped in and worked to find out everything she
needed to know to make it work.
Luke
was a great single Dad. His love and protectiveness of his daughter made me
instantly love him. And when the two of them collided and let the chemistry
ignite between them, I loved it. It took a little bit for them to get there and
after everything came to light I kind of wanted to smack him in the head. But
then he was all growly and protective and gave me hope he was going to get it
sorted.
And
damn did he deliver. To say Luke gave good swoon is an understatement. I loved
it and I thoroughly enjoyed the epilogue. I'm already looking forward to the
next book in the series and praying we get some updates on Luke and Allie in
it. But regardless I am grabbing it from KU now and jumping in once I recover from
staying up all night to finish this one.
Dr. Nora Reynolds saves lives. It's what she does. It's all that matters.
Walker Hewitt wins Formula One races. It's what he does. It's all that matters.
She's on the verge of getting a grant to do the important research on women's health that is her passion, delaying her parent's dream of joining them to practice medicine in some of the world's neediest places.
He's on the verge of leaving the flashy career his billionaire parents are so proud of and finally heading home to the family ranch in Texas.
When a snowstorm strands the two strangers in Seattle, it's one night to set it all aside, the expectations, the pressure, the questions. One night to be someone other than a driven overachiever.
A blissful night of slow and consuming passion against the backdrop of magical holiday lights turns into another, and another. Sticking together, they make their way to small-town Perry Harbor to soak in the joys of the season and learn some sexy tips from a few surprisingly active seniors in town.
Now, he wants more with her, much more. He wants forever. Can she set aside the person she was supposed to be in order to become the person she wants to be, or was this just a formula for one incredible Noel?
She's been reading romance for decades and loves to escape into stories about strong heroes with softer sides and independent heroines with a bit of sass.
She strives to support allyship in her writing and portray diversity in everyday life. She believes together, we will save the world.
When she isn't writing, Christina can be found reading in her favorite corner chair, sipping wine and laughing too loudly with friends, or cooking dinners that always take twice as long as the recipe suggests. She lives in Seattle with her husband who shares his bourbon, and two teenagers that keep them both on their toes.
And just like her favorite latte, her books have some steam. If that's not your regular brew, you may want to change your order. Enjoy!

The uncatchable stray snuck on the patio where I was waitressing and knocked me straight into Lee Powell's lap.
My fist slammed into his junk.
Then I accidentally flipped his breakfast platter onto his pants.
I thought it couldn't get any worse, but when I bring my brother to baseball practice, I discover his new coach is none other than Lee, owner and founder of Powell Dog Sanctuary, and he's not happy to see me.
I try to keep my distance from the hottest grump I've ever seen and ignore what it felt like curled against his broad, muscled chest.
But a bad case of the flu changes everything.
He stumbles on to my biggest secret and reveals a few of his own. He can't seem to stay away from me. He says he's too old for me, but I couldn't care less when he makes me feel cherished.
But then his past raises its ugly head, and he breaks our connection in a moment of suspicion.
Lee's afraid of being hurt again, but I'm the one left abandoned.

Among her favorite vices, she includes: iced lattes, historical architecture and well-placed sarcasm. She lives colorfully, collects vintage books, art, loves flea markets, and fancies herself British.
This book has been everywhere in my recommendations recently, so I checked out the series and jumped into the little Christmas novella and loved it. Then I saw they were like $9 each and I balked. Now don't get me wrong I don't have an issue paying that for an eBook, I just have KU, audible and a habit of buying 10 books I want to read and then only reading one of them, so I need to work my way up to it sometimes. And then Audible gave me some great inspiration to use my credits and I grabbed the first book in the series. And loved it but was even more desperate to get my hands on this one so off I went to throw $9 at kindle with no regrets.
This book was everything I could have hoped for and more. It had the awesome hero who was everything you would want him to be. And the whole story played out exactly how I wanted. I couldn't put it down and I have already preordered the next one. And now I'm off to stalk all things Devney Perry.
I kept getting the second book in this series pop up as a recommendation and upon reading the blurb I thought it sounded great, but I had to start at the start of the series since they sounded great too. So, I decided to use an audible credit and listen to this one.
From the first word I was invested. I genuinely liked both characters and I wanted to get to know them better and see how everything played out for them. The small-town setting was awesome and gave me a great feel for the secondary characters who I'm assuming will be through the rest of the series.
The suspense was right on point, and I was dying to see how things were going to unfold. The narration was awesome and next book has been set up so that I'm dying to read it.

Peyton’s mom and my mom were best friends.
You’d think that should cover the gist of it. But, no… Oh, no.
Not even close.
You see, Mom and Aunt Donna (as I’d always called Peyton’s mother) were not simply just best friends; I’m saying they were the-same-person-inhabiting-two-different-bodies kind of best friends.
And thus, Peyton Royce had been forced on me since the moment she was born.
We were treated like twins, yet always expected to fall in love one day and get married. The only problem with that was I didn’t love Peyton. And I’m fairly certain she didn’t even like me in return.
Don’t get me wrong. I adored our moms—swear to God—but they had to let this stupid notion go, because one thing had become abundantly clear to me over the years. I would never marry Peyton Royce. I think it was my one goal in life, actually.
So… Sorry, Mom and Aunt Donna, but you two just weren’t going to get your way on this.
Peyton and I? It was never gonna happen.

EXCERPT:
Aria took her turn next. When she immediately turned toward me and Peyton, my stomach dipped with dread.
“York,” she smirked snidely. “Truth or dare?”
“Uh…” Damn. I shrugged, not sure what would be worse from her. I ended up going with, “Truth,” only to hold my breath and hope she didn’t ask about why I’d really broken up with her. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings and admit that I just didn’t feel any sparks.
But she glanced calculatingly between me and Peyton instead, then asked, “You two have known each other your whole lives, right?”
I frowned in confusion. “Uh, yeah. That’s your question?”
“No. My question is if you two have ever kissed before.”
“What? No!” I frowned at her for wasting her truth question on that and then glanced toward Peyton, shaking my head to let her know my group of friends was clearly insane.
She merely blushed and shrugged back.
And Wes took his turn next in the game.
“York!” he cheered. “Truth or dare?”
“Seriously?” I threw up my hands. “Why is everyone picking on me all of the sudden?”
“Truth or dare?” Wes repeated, lifting a challenging eyebrow.
I didn’t like where Aria had been heading with her question about Peyton, so this time I said, “Dare.”
Wes looked at me with victory, letting me know I’d chosen wrong, right before he said, “I dare you to kiss Peyton.”

Ok
I cried about having to wait ten days for this book, and yes it was worth the
wait but seriously by the time I could read this book all my kids became needy
little jerks. It took me so long to read this book and all I wanted to do was
hide away and not adult while I read it.
Crew
was a bit of a wild card because all we really knew about him was that he had
me desire to return to Madigan Mountain, but he was doing so for his brother's
wedding. And Raven we kind of knew as a background character and little else.
But
once I got to know a little more about them both I really liked them. They were
both nursing some old wounds and not wanting to get hurt. And they both
couldn't deny the chemistry between them. Together they were so awesome, and I
couldn't get enough of them. Crew's support and gentle pushing of Raven was so sincere,
and it just made him that much better.
I
absolutely adored the bonus epilogue and I'm so sad to leave the mountain. This
has been another perfect collaboration between three truly amazing authors. And
whether you read one of these books or all of them you are getting nothing but
gold.
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kylie Scott comes a new story in her Stage Dive series…
When the Stage Dive crew decides to help, they do it in a big way.
Nanny and housekeeper Jude has been going through a dry patch. Getting ready to dip her toes back into the dating pool is a little nerve racking. And the offers of assistance from her boss, David Ferris, and his band are not helping. Right up until music producer Dean Jennings arrives to work on the band's latest album.
But Dean is more than a little wary of dating anyone with anything to do with the Stage Dive crew after losing Lena to lead singer Jimmy Ferris all those years ago. Can Jude a) Convince the crew to stay out of her business and b) Woo the man of her dreams?
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**
I smile. I have a lot to smile about. He likes me. We’re doing this. How exciting.
He leans forward. “Can I kiss you, Jude?” he whispers.
I feel those words in every part of me. “Yeah.” I lick my lips. “You can.”
As pretty as he was at a distance, he’s even more handsome close up. All of the shadows and lines of his face. It blows my mind how Lena left him for another. What a fool. Though I am kind of deeply grateful that she did. His lips are divine. No other word will do. And the thought of him pressing them against mine is making my stomach do a weird flip-flop thing. His lips are neither thin nor plump, but somewhere in between and perfect. I stare at them as he comes closer until he’s pressing his mouth softly against mine.
A sweet kiss, as if he’s testing his welcome. The man needn’t have bothered. I balance on the balls of my feet and join our lips once more, kissing him more insistently. I mean, we might as well figure out here and now if we have no chemistry. If he has no expertise. Because I kissed this male model once who was a tongue-wrangling disaster. Just a whole lot of wet-faced yuck. Sad, but true. It’s not like I have kissed anyone in ages. Maybe I’ve forgotten how it all works. Perhaps I’ll be the disaster.
Dean’s hands grip my hips, and his tongue slips into my mouth and oh, yeah. Very nice. A lack of chemistry is obviously not going to be a problem between us. He kisses me deep and wet in a way that goes straight to my head. My fingers slide over the smooth warm skin of his shoulders before holding on tight. He is so solid and strong. One of his hands is now cupping the back of my head, holding me to him. As if I had any intention of leaving. Heck no. We kiss until my lips are numb and swollen and my mind is far away. Nothing else matters but this moment.
He leans his forehead against mine, and we both take a moment to catch our breath. As first kisses go, it was stellar. My empty stomach, however, shows no cool and rumbles loudly. Talk about keeping it real.
