Wow this book was so hot. From the first time Yessi and Preston meet you can just feel the sparks fly. And I have to be honest that was all I really expected from this book when I went into it. A steamy hot feel good book that would make me swoon and escape for a few hours but not a lot more than that.

But damn did I get so much more. I absolutely love that the plight of dog rescue was so prevalent without being preachy. And it was so true and based on the everyday cold hard realities of the rescue world. And for that Alana will forever be my hero.

Yessi was such a kick arse heroine and I loved how strongly she stood behind her convictions. She probably could have been a little more flexible but having been there I have to admit you kind of hit this point where you just walk around thinking how horrible people are without realising what a bitter person you're becoming until suddenly it hits you. And although it didn't hit Yessi she had Preston to help her see a different perspective.

Preston was absolutely the star of the show. He was absolute perfection. I loved that he didn't compromise who he was in anyway yet was such an solidly good guy it shone through in everything he did.

Preston and Yessi were so good together and I couldn't stop reading this book to see how everything was going to wash out. And now I can't wait to read the next book, which I would normally miss since it's about Prestons ex but the blurb and Preston himself has me dying to read it as soon as I can get my grabby hands on it.
