I've been looking forward to this book since I finished the last one. So, when this finally landed on my kindle, I dove right in. Because I really loved the last two books in the series and the authors writing I just knew I was going to love this one. Especially with the trope teasers I'd seen hit all my happy buttons.

For the first thirty percent I kind of struggled with both Ford and Taytum. There was so much back and forth between them, and I wanted to scream at them and shake them. I am ok with a slow burn and a bit of a tease, but I can't handle it if both people are playing games and not communicating.

And then after the thirty percent mark I got a bit more caught up in the characters as they stopped playing some of the games. Plus, they started to communicate and we got to see them actually together even if there was still so many walls between them.

From that point I couldn't put it down. I was dying to know how they were going to sort through all the different things standing in their way. And as each thing came to light or got settled, I fell harder for both of them. Ford was such a great boyfriend once he decided to take the chance, I even forgot to be mad about him for earlier. Especially when his jealous and possessive side came out.

Taytum grew on me. For a while she came across as being immature and selfish. Then I saw her actions through Ford's lens, and I could see where she was coming from. The two of them together worked beautifully. I would have loved to have gotten an epilogue but I put the book down with a smile on my face so I can't complain.
