Before I start this review I think I really need to admit that I didn’t read the blurb for this book. I just jumped right on in after seeing it was one of my beloved Morgan Brothers. So if you’ve read Ball Peen Hammer you know there were a lot of laughs and that was what I expected here. What I didn’t know was coming was to be in hysterical tears for a large part of the story but hey I am 9 months pregnant and this book was so full of feels.

Ok so first up yes I cried like a baby from the start of this book but despite the fact it had some truly devastating moments the overall feel of the story was so positive and full of love I couldn’t put it down. I just had to see them get their happily ever after after everything they both went through.

Colby was as amazing as all of the Morgan family have been. He was so sweet and determined I was behind him from the very start. And of course as the book name suggests he was an absolute hero through and through. There was nothing I didn’t love about him.

But the true hero for me was Lydia.Which is saying something because I truly loved Colby. But OMG Lydia was so strong and overcame so much I just wanted to hug her. She is one of the most kickarse leading ladies I have read in a while.

As much as I loved this story I did have a few issues that I need to point out are things that are my issues and most people probably wouldn’t even notice or care about but I have to state them. First I felt like there wasn’t any closure with Lydia’s in-laws, I really would have loved to see them at the end be part of it all or not but I felt like it was just left out and I wanted some resolution there. And secondly this is written in the same time as the last few books so I was constantly trying to remember what happened in them and between my gold fish memory and my pregnancy brain I couldn’t remember anything and I drove myself a little nuts but that is a major me issue since my memory is so bad I just wish I had the time to go back and read them all together at once.

Now with all that said I want to state again for the record I loved this book. The feels were amazing and the characters were so real and incredible I just cant recommend it more. It would work perfectly as a standalone but the whole series has been gold so if you haven't already read them grab them all and treat yourself. And if you have enjoy the beauty of another edition of the Morgan family.
