It's no secret I love Lex Martin and she's an auto click author for me, so I don't read the blurbs. Then I'm a few sentences in and get a deja vu hit and realise who the couple is because my memory is shit. And suddenly I’m super invested.

Now if you have just picked this up without reading the prior 2 books in the Wild at Heart series, don’t worry, this is a complete standalone. The interwoven characters are like Easter eggs, and everything is clearly explained. But I highly recommend reading them.

So, our first interaction with Beau left him very lacking and at that point my 2 brain cells hadn’t yet put together the background of Honey and Beau to realise why he had that reaction to Honey. And then as the story progressed and we got to see the family feud from Honey’s side of things I was even more team Walker.

If you’re familiar with the author's work, you know her characters are amazing and her writing is great. There was a lot of suspense and intrigue, and I kept guessing about where a lot of things were going to go or how they were going to play out. So, I couldn’t put this down and ended up finishing it at 2am (sorry not sorry adulting).

I have so many theories that I can’t wait to see play out over the next few books. And I am dying to get my hands on the next one but now I’m seriously dying for Isaiah’s story. And the McAllister brothers will be needing books. But I’ll be happy to jump into Jace’s book next. Just please write quickly, some of us have no chill or memory.
