When life gives you lemons, make a Lemontini...
Divorced and jobless at forty-something, Whitney never thought she’d be starting over. But here she is. Single and (not so) ready to mingle - with anyone except him.
Luca leads a charmed life. He's got the perfect job, the support of a big Italian family, and a bevy of women eager to grant his mother’s wish for grandchildren… except the woman he really wants.
Now that Whitney’s Starter Wife days are over, Luca is determined to convince her to give him a shot.
Too bad the only shot Whitney’s sure of right now is the Lemontini.
When she isn't reading or writing, she loves spending time with family and traveling whenever possible.
Bethany can usually be found with a cup of coffee or glass of wine at hand, and will never turn down a cupcake!
Bethany
Lopez is one of those authors I stumbled over by chance and have stalked and
added to my TBR mountain. Her books are the best blend of funny, sweet, hot,
and entertaining. So, when I saw the blurb for this series I was jumping up and
down for the chance to read it.
The
first introduction to Whitney was awesome and I adored all of the ladies of the
Jilted Wives Club. Which makes me so excited for the next books in the series.
And the secondary characters were just as awesome, I'm really hoping there's a
book or two there as well.
But
back to Whitney, I absolutely could relate to her, apart from the divorce. She
was at a weird crossroads in her life but she was so strong and self-assured
and I respected the hell out of her. When I first met Luca, I was a little
apprehensive. He seemed a little cocky and I wasn't sure if he was what Whitney
needed.
Luca,
however, knew exactly what he wanted and he went all out to get it. And he
really was the perfect gentleman, when he wasn’t tearing panties or pinning
Whitney to walls or dragging her into supply closets 😉. His family was beautiful and I loved
seeing him interact with them. Even better was seeing him step up for Whitney
and get to know her kids.
I
am glad Summer is up next and I can't wait to read her story. And get a load
more of all three ladies.

------------------
Emma’s life has not been easy. Rather than using her disadvantages as a crutch, they have fueled her passion for helping others. She believes in working hard, loves her brother unconditionally, and has no time in her busy life for a certain cocky playboy who has obviously never been denied a thing in his life.
He’s searching for something, but isn’t sure what…
Brody may come across as a fast-talking rich boy with a sweet car. He’s secured a position in the hottest frat on campus and has the attitude of a guy who’s never known what it’s like to go without. So, yeah, it’s a pretty accurate description. But there’s more to the youngest Temple brother than meets the eye.

It's moments like these I really appreciate KU. As soon as I put down Ridges book I automatically jumped on over and grabbed Wes's story. And even though I had a fairly good idea of what I was getting into I enjoyed the writing and the story.
