Omg is that it? Is this the end of the series? I’m not ready but I also don’t know if I can watch the Stockton family go through any more. And this feels like everything is so perfectly wrapped up. I think I can happily put the book down without any lingering questions. But damn these men have owned me and the ladies they love are so perfectly matched to them it’s been a great ride.
Aspen’s return home with Fallon coinciding with Bishop’s return from the dead had me instantly excited. And the history between those two was hot and sweet. But then there were so many levels to their past that I felt like we were watching an onion being peeled and waiting to see the center.
Bishop was so determined to not just win Aspen over but also to do it on her terms. I couldn’t have respected him more. And I liked that Aspen put certain things in place for everyone’s well being but she didn’t play games. She put Fallon first in her decisions but not without also being the parent and ensuring the best for everyone.
They were such a great couple, the chemistry was perfect and I'm so glad to see everyone get their much deserved happily ever after.

The Quiet Horsemen #3
by Maggie Rawdon
BLURB:
When I’m stalked and kidnapped from the convent by my father’s enemy, a cowboy hellbent on revenge, everything changes.
I’m torn from my cloistered life of simplicity, thrown into the center of a bitter fight, and held at his mercy in a small cabin in the middle of the Colorado wilderness.
There could be a silver lining though.
The quiet, bespectacled, heavily tattooed horseman has an offer: If I give him what he wants, he’ll grant the only wish I have.
He might even be the one person capable of delivering it.
It’s a dangerous temptation. Just like the way he looks at me.
If I’m honest, the more I learn about the man underneath all the scars, the more I’m questioning everything I thought I believed. Especially when he makes a confession of his own.
But the cost for our deal? It’s steep.
I’ll have to break every vow I’ve ever taken.
What to Expect:
Cowboy x Nun
Enemy’s Daughter
Stalker/Captive
Revenge
Touch Her & Die
Dark Western/Small Town
Morally Grey & Obsessive MMC
My Review
.
First I have to comment on how hot AF that cover is. I mean, even if I wasn't hooked on this series I'd pick the book up just for that cover. But I am hooked on this series. Only my goldfish memory couldn't figure out who the priest was until I was part way in and everyone clicked into place and the story came rushing back. It's been a while and with my lack of memory and patience it's been forever.
So I’ll start with Zephyrine, she was this great unknown they all thought was working for her father so obviously I’m not anticipating loving her. But I immediately did. She was so sweet but had been through hell and came out of it with a backbone of steel and I couldn't get enough of her.
Levi. Omg imagining that man as a priest makes me want to run to the church and confess. Seriously, between picturing him as the cover model and hearing him talk dirty I felt like I was sinning reading this in public. But then he's all sweet and swoony on top of it all and I just can't even form words.
And then there's the whole ongoing story and so much drama and intrigue I couldn't put this book down. And I am so desperate to get the next one. I wasn't even anticipating how excited I'd be for that until we got to the end and I wanted to scream for more. Oh well back to waiting, at least now we've got sinful dreams to keep us occupied.

LIVE! Don’t miss this dark western, small town romance!
𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐛
Grant Stockton is the devil incarnate. The cowboy turned casino-owning crime boss has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can remember—first as my older brother’s best friend, then as my guardian when my brother died at his side, and now as the rival bar owner and landlord running me into the red.
He might be the head of The Quiet Horsemen, the man everyone else in this town fears, but I’m not about to cede a single inch of ground to him.
If I have to lie, cheat, and steal to keep him from finding out my bar’s underwater—well, that’s exactly what I’ll do.
At least until he breaks into my apartment and discovers my secret. One that gives him all the leverage he needs to control my fate.
My only reprieve is that The Horsemen are in the middle of a war, one that’s been spilling blood for the better part of a decade, and his enemies are closing in on our small mountain town.
Which is why I’m taken off guard by the demand he makes in exchange for keeping my secret.
Apparently there are benefits to being at the mercy of the devil…

So, in my desperation for more Maggie Rawdon words, I forgot a few teeny tiny little things. First is that this is a series, and each book is so completely intertwined that the story is still ongoing. And when I put the last book down, I had an issue with that. So naturally I wasn't hugely happy about it this time either. That said this book was written in such a way that despite having the worst memory I could more than follow the goings on here and remember most of the characters.
I really feel like I need to wait for the series to be written and then just binge them all. But I know my fomo and need to read each book as it releases. Because each next book is set up so well by the current one I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
Grant and Dakota were so hot together. I couldn't get enough of Grant which surprised me. Because he started off so serious and authoritarian, I wasn't sure how he was going to switch. And I don't hate bdsm but I'm not really loving it at the moment, so I was scared it was going to steer heavily in that direction.
Then we got jealous and possessive Grant, and I loved it. But we also got sweet and sensitive, considerate Grant and I was obsessed. Dakota was every twenty something woman trying to figure out life and herself. And I enjoyed watching her work out how to do what she needed to do while also submitting to what Grant needed without losing herself to him.
The chemistry was hot. The romance was sweet and had depth. And the story was so involved and intriguing. I hated having to put it down to adult and I can't wait for the next one. Although I'm just as excited for more Charlotte and her men. So whatever is next as long as it's soon please.
Since I
first picked up a Maggie Rawdon novel I've been obsessed. Unfortunately for me
and my absolute lack of patience I stumbled on her early, but each book has
just further increased my stalkerness. So, when I saw the sign up for this I
jumped on, blindly. Then I received a few teasers and saw it was Ramsay's book.
Yay. And it was going to be dark. Double yay.
What I
missed somehow or probably ignored because I was so focused on the two previous
things and a few others was that this was a second chance romance. I HATE
second chance. And even more so when one or both characters have moved on.
First what went wrong the first time that you called it quits? How can you get
over it now if you couldn't work through it then? Also, now there's this whole
other person that you claim to love?
So, as I'm
reading this I'm just hating everyone. And I really didn't want to. I wanted to
be lost in it, I wanted to love Ramsey and Hazel. But I just couldn't. I got
too caught up in all the water under their bridge and I drowned in it.
That said
the actual story outside of them I was caught in. The secondary characters and
the town, I am there for. The next book in the series I am blindly jumping on
because every single one of my issues with this book was a me issue and I still
had to read it to the very last page. So, if you're like me and can't stand
second chance, maybe give this one a miss. But if you don't mind second chance
then jump right in and discover what an amazing storyteller this author is.

𝔹𝕌𝕃𝕃 ℝ𝕌𝕊ℍ by Maggie Rawdon is now LIVE! Don’t
miss this hate to love, forced proximity, dark western romance!
Blurb:
Still
married.
Those words
change everything.
Now my
should-be ex-husband, Ramsey Stockton, the former pro football star turned
felon and hero who left this town—and me—behind years ago, is at my door
offering me a deal with the devil.
If I let him
stay and play his wife again for ninety days, he’ll give me a quiet divorce and
his family ranch—the one my inn is on.
When I scoff
at the idea, he offers a million-dollar bonus to help my business float through
this rough patch, but only if I’m his.
Then he’ll
walk away, and I can walk down the aisle with my fiancé. Or I can say no and
watch everything I’ve worked so hard for fall apart.
There’s only
one answer I can afford to give him. But he knows everything about me—every
hurt, every secret, and every single weakness I have, including him.
And while
Ramsey might want me, his brothers want him back in the family business.
If there's
one universal truth in this town, it's that Stockton men stop at nothing
to get what they want.
