My name is Carly Porter... And I’m really good at bad decisions.
How do I know this, exactly? Well, not including the time I accidentally bleached my eyebrows or sprained my ankle changing a lightbulb...
I had sex with my best friend’s brother.
Zeke Elliott has been a thorn in my side for eleven years. A very sexy, very tempting, very freaking annoying one. With big…hands.
And now my clitoris has a crush on the guy.
Seriously. I can’t look at him without my vagina performing accidental kegels. Which would be fine, but he’s Cain’s brother. I hate him. He’s off limits, right?
Right.

“This never happened.”
Zeke raises an eyebrow. “Nothing has happened.”
I put my hands on my hips and glare at him. “Don’t be a dick. You know what I mean. This is only going to happen because I’m a little drunk.”
“I thought you said it never happened.”
“You’re being a dick.”
His grin is wide and a little cocky. “So right now it’s happening because you’re a little drunk, but tomorrow it won’t have happened.”
I nod. “That’s right. You and I will forget it ever happened.”
His blue-green eyes sweep the length of my body before he meets my gaze, his lips dropping into a self-sure smirk. “Trust me, Carly, you won’t be forgetting this when I’m through with you.”
“Through with me? What am I? A naughty child awaiting punishment?”
“Look, if you want me to spank you, I’m good with that.” He raises his hands in front of his body. “In fact, I’m more than good with that.”
I blink at him. It really doesn’t help that he has his hands up like that. He has big, rough hands that would feel pretty good across my ass…
Good lord, Carly. Focus.
Wait. Does that count as focusing? I think it might.
Hmm…
“We’ll see,” I finally say, clearing my head of that momentary fog. “The point is, whether your ego insists I’ll remember this tomorrow—”
“You will.”
“—Or not,” I continue, ignoring him. “As far as everyone else is concerned, it never has and never will happen. Are we clear?”
“Crystal. Now, are you going to shut the hell up?”
“No. As a rule, I don’t shut up. Ever.”
Zeke steps forward, shutting the distance between us in less than three seconds. He lifts his hand to my chin and cups it, dipping his handsome face down close to mine. “That’s fine. I think I’ll prefer it when you’re screaming for more and calling me God.”
I raise both of my eyebrows. “I’m not going to call you God.”
“I guarantee you’ll feel differently when you’re having the best orgasm of your life.”
“That’s ambitious.” I’ve had some pretty good orgasms. Mostly battery-operated ones, because they can’t cum, so they don’t have to stop.
Zeke circles his strong arm around my waist and yanks me right against him. The force with which my body hits his makes me gasp, something that only makes his smirk a little stronger. “That’s exactly what’s going to happen.”
“Again,” I say, swallowing. “Ambitious.”
“Carly?”
“What?”
He lowers his face so the tip of his nose brushes mine and locks onto me with his gaze. “The next time you talk, you’ll be screaming my name.”
I open my mouth to rebuke that ridiculous—yet hot—statement, but he’s quicker. He drops his mouth to mine and takes my bottom lip between his. His teeth graze over the soft skin, and an uncontrollable shiver rockets down my spine.
Dear god, he’s barely touched me and I want to whimper like a puppy wanting a belly rub.
Except, of course, I want him to rub a whole lot more than my belly.
And do a whole lot more than rubbing while he’s at it too.
This is dumb. I know this. It’s dumber than dumb. It’s the most stupid idea in the history of stupid ideas.
Hell on a Harley Davidson, I’ve lost my goddamn mind.

The decisions I’ll have to make won’t be
easy. No matter what I choose, my heart will break…
Find out what Josh Bennett needs to
do to get his own happily ever after in the world of Knight Fashion with
SEXIEST DAD ALIVE by M.Clarke…

About SEXIEST DAD ALIVE
Josh Bennett
It was a simple offer.
I invited Isla to rent a room in my five thousand square foot home. Plenty of rooms and plenty of space. But the second she moved in, I knew I was in trouble. I could handle wanting her when there was distance between us, but once we started to play house, all my pent up desire started knocking down walls.
That was my first mistake of many.
The private investigator I hired to track down my ex found her not far from where I live. I should have locked my past behind me, but something urged me to find her. I’m glad I did. But our union left me with a situation to be reckoned with.
When a new fire is lit and old flames rekindle, one will have to burn out.
The decisions I’ll have to make won’t be easy.
No matter what I choose, my heart will break.

Since
Isla moved in, I’d been eating better. Of course I gave in return by taking her
out to eat. I wasn’t a selfish bastard, and I wasn’t about to take advantage of
her. For a while, I suspected Isla had feelings for me, and I for her, but both
of us kept the feeling locked away. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship if
things went wrong. But I realized there was a great chance of something
happening, even between friends, when you play house.
Isla
and I often said things husbands and wives would say to each other: Goodnight,
dear. Honey, I’m home. Love you. Don’t forget to pick up milk. The words flew
naturally and we laughed it off, but deep in the recesses of my mind, I
wondered what it could be like if we did date.
But …
but … but … we had crossed the line. I might have started to cross over first,
but Isla encouraged it. And damn, she felt and tasted amazing. Fuck! I was
going to want more of her. Control yourself, Josh. I had been doing well
so far. I just had to continue, especially since I had to find out if Shelly’s
baby was mine. And if so, Isla may not want anything to do with me.
Regret
rippled through me. I shouldn’t have kissed her, but when her bright green eyes
filled with lust, and she lowered her gaze to my lips as she licked hers, I
gave in to temptation. I’d forgotten about Shelly until it was over. Then
reality flooded back. I had to get my life straightened out before I even
attempted to have a relationship with Isla. She deserved the best of me, not
the worst.
After
I took a freezing shower, I got ready for bed and debated whether to say
something to Isla. We’d agreed to pretend nothing happened, and if I didn’t say
goodnight to her like I did every night, she would feel like shit. I knew I
would. So I opened the door and shot my eyes open wide.
“Isla.
I was just about to come see you.”
Her
raised fist, ready to knock on the door, dropped while her eyes lingered on my
bare chest. “Josh. I—I—you were about to come see me?” She smoothly changed the
subject.
When
I raked my hair back, her eyes landed on my biceps. Her longing-filled eyes had
me so close to giving in to my desire and taking her in my room. Closing my
eyes to contain my lust, I inhaled a deep breath to shut out my thoughts and my
dick wanting what it shouldn’t. What I couldn’t have.
But
shit, Isla. Did she have to look so damn hot in her night outfit—shorts and a
T-shirt? She crossed her arms, to hide her nipples no doubt. But that didn’t
stop me from envisioning the beautiful breasts I saw, touched, and tasted. Oh
hell, I imagined my mouth on them as she stood before me. Her disheveled auburn
hair—wild and full—contrasted with her face, looking innocent with no makeup.
I
arched my eyebrows, loosening up, trying to get us back to the way we were.
“Yes, I was, but why don’t you tell me why you’re here first?” I gave her my
goofy grin—lips twisted, tongue slightly poking out, and eyes crossed.
She
smacked my arm and let out a delicious, contagious laugh. When her laughter
died, my heart died a little too because I couldn’t have her, at least not yet.
“I
came to say goodnight. Since we’re starting over, I thought we keep things …
you know … normal,” she said hesitantly, eyes darting to the door, to my bare
chest again, swallowing, and then to her perfect, manicured feet.
“I’m
glad you came.”
Her
eyes shot to mine. “You are?”
“Of
course I am. I was on my way to your room to say goodnight.”
“Oh.
Okay. That’s good. Thanks. I mean. Goodnight.” She stumbled over her words.
Oh
hell. I made it that way. She didn’t sound like my friend Isla, but rather a
broken and confused Isla.
“Goodnight,
honey.” I played along. “Do I get a hug?” I thought to ease the tension between
us, but as soon as she wrapped her arms around me, I tightened with the tension
of unfulfilled pleasure.
Isla’s
touch burned through my skin, and her body molding to mine unraveled me. Her
lavender shampoo filled my nostrils, and I wanted to take her to bed and make
love to her all night. We stayed entangled longer than we should have, frozen
in time and space. Then Isla pulled away, leaving me cold and empty.
Running
her hands through her auburn locks, she didn’t notice she had exposed her
T-shirt when she backed away. Oh fuck me! Her T-shirt framed her breast,
teasing what I could no longer touch or taste. She gasped and crossed her arms
again when my dirty eyes reminded her.
“Anyway.
I’m going to see my brother tomorrow, and I’m going to spend the weekend with
his family, so I’ll see you whenever.”
Why
did that feel like a punch to my gut? It shouldn’t. She had done that two
weekends before. “Sure. Have fun.”
“You
got any plans?” Her long eyelashes fluttered, curious.
“I’m
having dinner with Nathan tomorrow, but not much.”
She
nodded and took several steps back. “Okay. Have a great weekend.” Then she
turned and walked away.
“You
too.” I stared at her fine ass and her long legs until she disappeared out of
my sight. Inhaling a deep breath, I got back to bed with my laptop to distract
me.

“Who knew a bad boy could mend a broken heart."
What does a girl do after she discovers her fiancé is a cheating bastard?
In my case, I performed the ritual implosion of all scorned women. I drowned my sorrows in cases of white wine, wallowed in gallons of ice cream, and ignited a bonfire to burn away every damn remnant of his existence. Six months later, the only result was a permanent impression of my ass on the couch.
Adventure Dating my friends dared.
A new and exciting opportunity they said.
I thought they were crazy, but I’m not one to back down from a challenge, so I signed up for the entire four-week deal.
That’s where I saw HIM. Lucas Cummings. He isn’t the classic rich boy I usually end up with. The one whose idea of working up a sweat is waiting for his margarita to be served on the beach. Nope. He’s a rough and tough bad boy that all fathers warn their daughters about. You know the type. Cocky swagger, chiseled jaw—the ‘V’.
SOLD, I said to myself, until I discovered he was so much more than just a BOXER.
Left Hook.
Right to the heart.

My Review

Excerpt
My mouth waters as the guy who propositioned me a half hour ago strips off his robe, revealing a set of abs I’m quite positive could wash the panties I just soaked. Jesus, he’s hot, with not one ounce of fat on him. His black silk shorts have a white band of fabric around his waist that says Raging Bull.
Lennon grabs my cup out of my hand.
“Hey,” I say, reaching for it.
“No, girl, you’re gonna want to be stone sober for this one. You don’t want to be like Whit the first night she and Cole got together.” She takes a sip, but I grab the cup back, knowing I need it more than I thought.
Especially when he glances down and a perfect set of sparkling teeth emerge, revealing a smile that has me gripping Lennon’s arm for support. Then he bites his bottom lip for a second, and my fingernails dig into Lennon’s bicep.
“Damn, I wish I saw him first.” Lennon’s voice sounds as dreamy as I feel. “You better ride him like you’re a fucking rodeo star, girl.” And there’s the Lennon I know and love.
The vodka man, now known as Lucas Cummings, turns around, continuing to bounce on his toes.
Sammie’s voice rings out once more, and another boxer enters with four bodyguards and a red silk robe. He weaves through the ropes and stares down Lucas. Lucas laughs, egging him on, and my gut twists.
“The undefeated Brock ‘Lights Out’ Hayes,” Sammie announces, and the guy jumps around the ring, waving both fists in the air.
Lucas turns back toward us, but his attention is focused solely on another guy. A small man rushes in the ring, putting Vaseline on his cheeks and forehead.
“This is the real deal.” The excitement in Lennon’s voice increases.
Lucas keeps peeking over at me, an uptick on his lips each time. Eventually, the guy who I assume is his manager glances over our way to see what’s distracting him.
Whit tugs on my arm and leans in close. “Someone has caught the boxer’s attention,” she whispers and I wish my cheeks didn’t heat like they are.
“Because he’s thinking of all the ways he’s going to fuck her later,” Lennon adds, turning her head for only a second.
“What?” Whitney asks, in the dark on the whole situation.
“I met him at the bar. He asked me to meet him after,” I say, and Whitney’s eyes crinkle as if she doesn’t think that’s a good idea. So thinks the girl who resorted to Tinder.
“Like you’d do that,” she says confidently, and I bite my lower lip. The lip that is now a little tingly from what I assume is the Everclear. “Tahlia, don’t you think you should wait for your second one-night stand for someone of his…caliber?”
Cole peeks over her shoulder. “I met him a few weeks ago when I came to watch the fights. Seems like an okay guy.”
Whitney raises her hand, and it smacks Cole in the face. He grabs his nose.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” She glances at him for a second before her eyes set on me again like a mother scolding her teenager.
“No, babe, it’s my fault. I know better than to try to get in the middle of a conversation between you three.” Cole touches his nose a few times and wiggles it around.
“Guess you’re not the kinda guy to jump in that ring then.” Lennon laughs and points at him. Cole raises his eyebrows in her direction.
“Are you challenging me, Lennon?” Cole asks and the three of us laugh.
Whitney waves her hands around. “Forget that. Tahlia, you can’t go have a one-night stand with someone like him.”
I look past Whitney to Cole. “I think you need to go over the one-night stand rules. First one being, you don’t know the person. Second qualification, you pick the hottest guy.”
Cole laughs, but Whitney only becomes more agitated. I’m not sure why she’s giving me trouble. She’s the one who brought me here tonight.
“Tahl,” she sighs.
“Whit,” I mimic her tone. “I’m a grown woman. I’ll be fine.”
Lennon elbows me a few times. “The blood is about to spew,” she says and jumps up, screaming, “Go, black shorts!”

Lucas turns around to Lennon and then cocks an eyebrow in her direction. For a second, jealousy spikes within me, but when his gaze turns to me and he smirks, I melt. Unable to deal with the thought that the guy up in the ring could be inside of me in a few hours, I tip the rest of my Everclear and down it.

Author Bio
Piper Rayne, or Piper and Rayne, whichever you prefer because we’re not one author, we’re two. Yep, you get two established authors for the price of one. You might be wondering if you know us? Maybe you’ll read our books and figure it out. Maybe you won’t. Does it really matter?
We aren’t trying to stamp ourselves with a top-secret label. We wanted to write without apology. We wanted to not be pigeon holed into a specific outline. We wanted to give readers a story without them assuming how the story will flow. Everyone has their favorite authors, right? And when you pick up their books, you expect something from them. Whether it’s an alpha male, heavy angst, a happily ever after, there’s something you are absolutely certain the book will contain. Heck, we’re readers, too, we get it.
What can we tell you about ourselves? We both have kindle’s full of one-clickable books. We're both married to husbands who drive us to drink. We're both chauffeurs to our kids. Most of all, we love hot heroes and quirky heroines that make us laugh, and we hope you do, too.

Ok so I
loved The Bartender and the little tease we got for this book was enough to
have me waiting with baited breath for the release of this one. But of course
there is always that concern that this book isn’t going to live up to all that
I have built it up to in my head. And since The Bartender is the only book by
Piper Rayne I have read I was doubly scared it was a fluke. Two pages in and I
knew I was good.
The Boxer
was awesome. We had the same great characters and a perfect continuation of a
story that I was dying to see resolved. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait long
for the release so my goldfish brain could remember who everyone was and how
they all fit together. I got the humour I loved along with the warm fuzzies and
just the perfect touch of angst and drama.

So I have to
admit it was almost all about Lucas for me even though the book was told
entirely from Tahlia’s point of view or maybe specifically for that reason. He
was the perfect book boyfriend. Didn’t hurt that he was an insanely sexy possessive,
protective, alpha, boxer. The chemistry between them was so strong and the
instant attraction was so much fun to watch.
Tahlia had
been through so much with Chase that it was really good to see her with a guy
so different to him who treated her like she deserved to be treated. But damn I
was really hoping to see Chase get hit by a bus or have a piano land on him.
But I guess I am in the minority of wanting to see vengeance in my romance. Lol
And now that
Lennon is up next I just know there is going to be a whole heap of crazy mixed
in with the sweet and I really can’t wait to see the continuation of both Cole
and Whit and Lucas and Tahlia.
