I
may need a minute to cool down from reading this book before I can tell you how
awesome it was. Honestly this book had me squirming in my seat the whole time I
was reading it. But unlike most books this hot and steamy the story line was
kick ass and the characters were amazing.
Now
if you read Big Rock you got a tiny taste of who these characters were and a
little insight into their stories but it really isn’t at all necessary to read
that book first as this is a genuine stand-alone novel. I loved the friends to
lovers theme but I especially loved that while it was done in the most common
way it was anything but common.
There
was so much humour and heart in this story I fell instantly in love with Nick
and being in his head was a complete treat. I was a little concerned to start
out with. I mean Mr Orgasm and his orgasm giving super powers doesn’t sound
like the type of guy who wants to fall in love and live happily ever after in a
hurry. But damn was he everything I could want in a book boyfriend and more.
Harper
was the perfect best friends sister. Seeing her through the eyes of a man who
could see only her strengths yet was trying to resist the temptation only
strengthened how utterly perfect he was. Not that Harper wasn’t all that and a
bag of chips cause she so was but damn how he loved her quirks and all.
This
is the ultimate book of nerd power, the cartoonist and the magician. I should
have known it would be hot after Big Rock but I honestly wasn’t expecting the
steam factor. I think I was expecting more sweet and although I got a massive
dose of that I didn’t anticipate the blend of humour, steam and sweetness and
it made this an amazing trifecta I couldn’t recommend more.

June Mayson and Evan Barrister’s whirlwind
courtship resulted in a secret marriage right before he left for boot camp.
Evan knows deep in his gut that June is too good for him, but after getting a
taste of the beautiful life they can have together, he’s unwilling to let her
go. June promises to wait for him, knowing neither time or distance will ever
change her feelings for Evan—that is until she’s served with divorce papers
while he’s overseas and she’s forced to let him go.
Her marriage and divorce a well-kept secret,
the last person June expects to run into when she moves back to her hometown is
Evan. Angry over the past, she does everything within her power to ignore the
pull she feels whenever he is near. But how can she ignore the pain she sees
every time their eyes meet? How can she fight the need to soothe him even if
she knows she’s liable to get hurt once again?
Is it possible for June and Evan to find their
way back to each other again? Or will they be stopped by an outside force
before they ever have a shot?
Excerpt
Seeing Evan again is taking a toll on me, I can’t sleep and my mind is in a constant state of turmoil. I wake up in the middle of the night from dreams of us. The memories of him, of us are too much. Some memories have the ability to heal. The ability to light up the dark because the beauty of the memory is so bright you’re still able to bask in it.
But the memories of us are killing me slowly. They remind me that for one moment I had everything while reminding me it’s gone. It’s the realization that we’re done that’s killing me. The realization that I can see him but can’t touch him that he exist but he’s not mine is agonizing.

Wow this was seriously hot. Not that I could expect
anything else from Aurora Rose Reynolds. She is one of those rare authors who
has the ability to make the whole world disappear as soon as I pick up one of
her books.
When I read the blurb for Until June I have to admit
to being very apprehensive. I mean ARR is the queen of amazing alphas who fall
into insta love with their beautiful ladies on first sight so how am I meant to
deal with one who turns his back on June? And once they have their second
chance what’s going to try and pull them apart?
Damn I think I am having a mini meltdown all over
again just thinking about it. But it is another one of the amazing Mayson
family members so I pulled up my big girl panties and dove right in. Suddenly
there I was at 30% being pulled out of my June and Evan fog to rejoin the real
world. Don’t worry I didn’t stay there long before my husband took pity on me
and sent me to my room to finish it.
Of course I should have known ARR could do no wrong.
This book was so hot and everything we have all come to expect from the Until
series. The drama I feared didn’t kill me and I loved every page of it.
June was everything I love in one of Asher and
November’s daughters. She was kick ass and I loved her interaction with her
friends, neighbours and family. She knew
who she was and wasn’t afraid to be herself and say what she was feeling and go
after what she wanted.
Evan started off as
bit of an idiot but he redeemed himself quickly and watching him go all
out to prove himself to June was great. But the absolute clincher was the fact
that there was no man whore cliché in the mix. And once he decided to man up he
really proved himself worthy of joining my beloved Mayson family.
This book is probably the only book in the Until
series I can say I would consider a true stand-alone however you would have to
be crazy to miss out on Until November which started it all and then I would
suggest binge reading the entire collection of ARR’s books.

“This book devastated me in the most wonderful way,” raves Meredith Wild. In Sugar Daddy, the New York Times bestselling author of the Cold Fury series proves that vengeance is sweet—but seduction is to die for.
Sela Halstead lost her innocence in a way that no sixteen-year-old should ever have to endure. She’s spent years trying to forget that night even while wondering about the identities of the monsters who brutalized her—until a telltale tattoo flashes across Sela’s TV screen. The incriminating ink belongs to Jonathon Townsend, the millionaire founder of The Sugar Bowl, a website that matches rich older men with impressionable young women. Obsessed with revenge, Sela infiltrates Townsend’s world, only to come face-to-face with a tantalizing complication: Beckett North, his charismatic business partner.
The tech mastermind behind The Sugar Bowl, Beck always gets what he wants, in business and in bed. And yet, for a man who’s done every dirty thing imaginable, there’s something about the naïve, fresh-faced Sela that sparks his hottest fantasies. Because with her, it’s not just about sex. Beck opens up to her in ways he never has with other girls. So why does he get the feeling that she’s hiding something? In a world of pleasure and power, the shocking truth could turn them against each other—or bind them forever.
Note: Sugar Daddy ends on a cliffhanger. Sela and Beck’s story continues in Sugar Rush and Sugar Free!

Teaser excerpt
(Blurb to follow at a later date)
“Everyone has a demon inside them. That voice
of self-loathing, of questioning our purpose and worth. But everything in life
has balance. A counterbalance. The light in the darkness. Every breath we take,
each choice… We all struggle, Jason. Every day. You aren’t the only one. But
that’s what life is all about. Of counting our blessings. Of seeing the moments
of beauty that are right in your face. But you’re too busy feeling sorry for
yourself and allowing the cowardice of others to blind you.”
He scoffed. “Cowardice?”
“You think there’s bravery in suicide? Or this slow death of yours? It’s a copout. You want to label yourself as brave, you fight—every second of the day if you have to. You never, ever give up. You fight until the end.”

About The Author
I had my first library card at the age of
four. My mom was a part-time librarian at the Coplay Library in Coplay,
Pennsylvania for 29 years, where I spent a good portion of my time growing up
attending “story hour” every day after school.
I always chose the hot pink colored carpet to
sit on to listen to the amazing stories that were read to us and eventually
begged my parents to install the same hot pink carpeting in my bedroom. That’s
when I learned that “wall to wall” carpeting DIDN’T mean that my walls would be
covered in hot pink carpeting too. It was a sad day.
My education and background is in Business
Analysis, Corporate Training, Banking, Accounting, and IT Design – but that was
just to pay the bills. Creative, artsy stuff – from jewelry design to painting
and writing – have always been my passion.
I live a quiet, drama-free life in
Pennsylvania with my husband, our nine year old son who is growing like a weed,
a Keeshond that sheds like crazy, two very lively mini Schnauzer puppies, and
an Eclectus Parrot who thinks he’s a dog and mommy’s boyfriend – named Percy.
May 23, 2016

OMG Wow. When I saw this book on one of my favourite
author’s, Lex Martin’s, facebook feed this morning, I immediately had to check
it out on GoodReads. I mean if she reads books even half as good as she writes
them then I knew I would love it.
Then I read the blurb and I had to one click it straight
away and dive right in and I literally have not been able to put it down since.
Since this was the first book of Jennifer’s that I have
read I really didn’t know what to expect so I was extremely excited to fall
into this from the first page and be completely captured by the writing style
as well as the amazing story and awesome characters.
I was so besotted with Lainey from the very start. She
was smart, feisty, sweet caring and funny as hell. Her inner monologues had me
literally laughing out loud (que people looking at me sideways and slowly
crossing the street to avoid the crazy lady sitting in her car hysterically
laughing). She was perfect. And with everything happening in her life I was so
proud of her I wanted to buy her a cookie. And I love that she was so crazy yet
so relatable.
Brogan was unique and I have to admit after being used to
most books being dual POV I seriously would love to know WTF was going through
his head for more than half of this book. He had these moments of being such an
arsehole but then he would show his gooey chocolate chips and make me want to
stamp him as mine. Half the time he opened his mouth and I felt my ovaries
explode right along with Lainey’s then the other half I wanted him to just shut
up and look pretty. But honestly it’s hard for me not to love a man who really
loves his dog. And damn did I love his dog. (No that’s not a euphemism I really
did like his dog although from what Lainey said about other parts I am thinking
I probably love them too ;) )
“You are not a problem to be solved, Lainey.” His eyes held so
much intensity they robbed the breath out of my chest. “You are the answer to
my fucking prayers.”
But back to the book. I am very glad to say I have a new
author to stalk and exercise my one click finger on. This book had absolutely
everything going for it. It was funny as hell, sweet as chocolate, sexy as sin
and just flat out entertaining. I am so glad I one clicked it despite having 20
million books already on my kindle and 10 that I absolutely must read. And now
I am going to go pay off my book debt with hubby. So you can go one click this
now.

I was afraid to fly.
He made me soar.
After years of climbing the ladder of success in the music
industry, I finally had everything I could want.
Yet I still found myself wandering through life alone.
Captain Evan Roth was the one man I never saw coming.
Tall, dark, mysterious… Straight.
We were both damaged beyond repair and searching for something
so elusive we weren’t sure it even existed.
But, when two broken souls collide in midair, falling is a
given.
I just never expected to crave the spiral down.
Excerpt
Henry
“How about you and one of your girls come out
to my show in L.A. next week? My treat. Dinner, drinks, the whole deal. Evan
and I would love to take you two beautiful ladies out for an evening.”
“Excuse me?” he exclaimed, cocking his head to
catch my gaze.
I leaned back into my seat and lifted a hand
to massage his shoulder. I was barely able to suppress a moan when the angle of
his firm trap muscle met my palm.
Fuck, this guy was built like a brick wall.
And I was going to love every second of watching him crumble for me.
“Oh, come on, Evan. It’s the least we can do.
Double date.” I winked at Jessica. “You can fly them out! My plane should be
ready by then.”
Jessica’s eyes jumped to Evan’s. “You’re a
pilot?” Her smile spread irritatingly wide.
Back off, Ginger
Spice.
Snapping my fingers in her direction, I
corrected, “He’s my pilot.”
Subtlety was not a virtue I possessed. Was subtlety a virtue at all?
“Your temporary
pilot,” he amended before shaking his head and then tipping his beer to his
lips for a long pull.
“Anyway. Do we have a date?” And, by date, I
meant feeding her dinner while I attempted to work my way into Evan’s pants.
She pressed one finger to her lips and then
nervously flashed her eyes around the cabin.
“Oops. Sorry.” I shrugged sheepishly. Lifting
my drink to my mouth, I discreetly passed her my cocktail napkin and then
not-so-discreetly brushed my forearm against Evan’s chest as I pulled away.
He offered her a tight smile just before she
disappeared.
I grinned proudly.
“What the fucking hell was that?” he
whisper-yelled at me.
“That was me getting a woman’s number.”
He arched an eyebrow. “A woman. Really?”
“What? Is that not allowed?” I feigned
innocence.
He clenched his fist in his lap, and it made
me suddenly aware that my own hands had stopped trembling—and in record time, I
should note. Evan seemed to be quite useful in the art of distraction.
He leaned closer. “Don’t bullshit me. I looked
you up. You’re…” He stopped, unwilling to say the big, bad “G” word.
“I’m what?” I taunted.
He rolled his eyes and chugged the rest of his
beer.
We went back to silence until Jessica came
back by with another drink, complete with her phone number written on the
napkin.
“I’m not going on a double date,” Evan said as
I tucked the napkin into my pocket. “You want me to fly them out? Not a
problem. Schedule it with Jackson. But that’s the extent of my professional
responsibilities. And, since I’m off the clock right now, I’d also like to
mention that I think whatever play you’re planning to run on that woman is
fucked up.”
My head snapped to his. “I’m sorry. Play?” I
asked with more attitude than I had originally planned.
“Yes. Play,” he sneered.
I stirred my drink. “Let me get this straight.
I’m offering to fly her out in a private jet, feed her dinner at one of the
best restaurants in the city, and put her front row at a concert that has been
sold out for over a year. That doesn’t seem like a play to me. It sounds like
I’m trying to do something nice for a woman I was rude to earlier.” I casually
leaned back in my seat. “My conscience doesn’t ‘play’ when it comes to
apologies.”
“Right. Well, maybe you should have a chat
with your conscience, because she looks like she just won the date of a
lifetime. Meanwhile, you don’t even like women.” He stalled, no doubt looking
for just the right word to express his disgust without sounding like a bigot.
Judging by his gentleness when we’d taken off, he wasn’t the type of guy to go
for the fag bomb.
I watched him intently, excited to see how he
was going to handle this.
“You’re gay.”
I frowned at his lack of creativity. “Not that
it’s any of your damn business. But I’ll have you know I love women.”
It wasn’t a lie. I adored women. Especially
Levee and Robin.
I just didn’t like pussy. Meh. Semantics.
He gaped. “You’re bi?”
“And I’ll repeat: None of your damn business.
But yeah. Do you have a problem with that?”
Again, it wasn’t necessarily a lie.
Was I bisexual? Fuck no. My cock was in no way
an equal opportunity employer.
I was somewhat bilingual though. I knew how to
ask for a blow job in English and
Spanish. I pretended that was what he meant.
Chupame la verga.
