I think I fell in love with Truman on the first page and I just fell deeper and deeper as the story progressed. I just couldn’t get enough of him or his story and I hung on every word of this book.

I expected something really dark and I went into this feeling very apprehensive as I just wasn’t in the mood for something dark and devastating. Thank god that wasn’t how this book was written and the amount of love that poured off the pages was so perfect and beautiful. There were a few moments of darkness but they were few and far between and the over whelming beauty of the book had me smiling and swooning so much more than I cried.

Tru was beyond perfection. He was the ultimate heart of golf in an inked armour and I can’t ever express how amazing he was. The way he loved his family made my ovaries explode and my heart beat out of my chest while tears streamed down my face. He was just incredible. And he absolutely made this entire book for me.

“I never thought I needed anyone, but I’m starting to think I was just waiting for you.”

Gemma was amazing most of the time but at others she annoyed me. Don’t get me wrong, I loved her and I thought she was great for Truman but she had a few moments where I wanted to smack her and tell her not to be an idiot.

This is the first time I have read a Melissa Foster book and I am so happy because if any of her other heroes are anything like Tru I can now go stalk her and add a whole heap of new book boyfriends to my ever growing list.

Wow. This Book. Words could never do justice to all the emotions and stomach clenching heartbreak I have gone through reading this book. It is definitely one of the best books I have read this year and the irony is that I didn’t want to read it.

Don’t get me wrong, I signed up to review it, I loved the blurb and the promise of it being non cheating with a HEA had me thinking I had to have it. But between then and everyday life when it came time to sit down and read it I just felt like I NEEDED something light and I couldn’t handle the angst I knew this would bring. That said I was running out of time to read this so I sat at the optometrist waiting for our daughter to get her eye tests done and I started it.

I got to 3% and I was so gone over these characters and the way the words were written and the story that was being told I couldn’t handle putting it down. I kept trying to explain it’s epicness to my husband who really doesn’t care except for the fact he is happy I am so excited. Every time I had to put it down I had to go to GoodReads and tell the world that this book is breathtaking.

The story is told in dual POV and that gave me a pretty good idea of who Maverick is going to end up with but it’s also told in flashbacks and the emotion she felt for Killian made me question everything I thought. I honestly had no idea who she was going to choose. I was waiting for the plot twist that was going to destroy me because it honestly didn’t matter who she chose because the importance was more on the why than the who.

This book is a love triangle but it’s so much more than that. It’s a heartbreaking journey through the life of a woman torn apart by the two people she loves most in the world and the decisions she makes as truths about their intertwined past comes to light and changes her view on everything she thought was absolute in her life and I absolutely got lost in every word of it.

Even now just thinking about it and trying to put into words the perfection of this story I have tears streaming down my face and I can’t say enough things about this book to express my love of it. That said I think you need to experience and feel this book without any idea of the journey it will take you on. So put aside your reservations about love triangles or anything else and dive in. You can’t miss this book, it’s utter perfection.

This seems to be the month for amazeballs books. It’s like all my favorite authors got together to see if they could blow my mind with their awesome.

It goes without saying that if Rebecca Yarros writes it, I will read it. But damn did this book have all the action and emotion I could handle and then some.

Wilder was everything I could ask for in a new adult hero. Cocky, arrogant, wild, man whore who knows what he wants and gives his whole heart and soul into getting it. He was so fearless and full of life it was hard not to fall in love with him as soon as I met him. He is one of those people who pulls you into his orbit without effort and I loved the fact that I could feel the pull between Wilder and Leah from their first meeting.

Leah was struggling so hard to repair her broken pieces and I loved that she never used everything she had gone through as an excuse to avoid her feelings for Wilder. She was such an amazing character I loved her as much as I loved Wilder. And despite a few tests and trials she never made stupid drama or excuses, she just pulled up her big girl panties and dealt with it. Her strength was awesome to watch.

There were a few things that upset me to no end and for a while there I thought I might have to put the book down and walk away but of course Rebecca is a goddess and she pulled me back to being on her stalker list and I absolutely can’t wait to read the rest of the Renegades finding their HEA.

Oh my god! Best. Duet. Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I feel like I can’t even take a full breath yet from all the emotions still flooding through my system. Like I need to just sit back down and start them all over again because I am not ready to leave the beauty and heartbreak of Aly Martinez’s Retrieval Duet.

Firstly, I can’t explain how epic Retrieval was and I was so devastated to get to that ending and hit the cliff hanger without having Transfer loaded on my kindle but thankfully I only had an hours wait before I could get into full meltdown mode. Sadly, it was 11pm and there was no way I could have gone to sleep without just reading the first few chapters to get passed the cliff hanger.

Umm yup hello 1am and 50% before I remembered I had to get up in 5 hours. So then I spent the whole day trying to adult and not obsess over Clare and Roman and Elisabeth. I did however think I was going to go insane when I had to put the book down at the 70% mark with everything up in the air.

The depth of emotion is indescribable and I know this book will stay with me for ever. Hands down the best characters, the infinite love and heart stopping drama had my heart stopping before it pounded out of my chest with tears streaming down my face. But of course you always know you are going to get perfection from Aly Martinez.

Fuck, Walter Noir was insane. That man had had it all. An amazing wife. A gorgeous daughter. A beautiful life. But, for some reason, he hadn’t been able to get his shit together enough to hold on to it. And thank God for that. Because, now, she was my woman. My girl. My life.

So I am not going to go into the story at all because if you haven’t read the first one yet you need to one click them both right now, seriously there is no excuse not to. And if you have read the first one you would already be finished with this one before you could stop to look at reviews. So I will simply tell you this is without a doubt the absolute must read of the year.

Now that is how you write a college sports romance. Oh my god I feel like I have been wandering the desert looking for water waiting to read this book. All the ones I have read recently have been so hit and miss and sadly more miss than hit that by the half way mark of this book I was almost scared to keep reading incase it was all going to go to shit because I am sure I would have broken down into huge, ugly, fist wailing sobs (not pretty people) but damn did Sara Ney nail this so hard.

I don’t even know where to start with this one just damn. It ticked every one of my boxes as well as tickling my box ;)

Sassy, smart arse non virgin heroine
  Sexy, douchebag, man whore hero
Sexy sports uniforms that leave little to the imagination
         Dirty talking douchebag

I honestly could just keep right on ticking off things I loved about this book, in fact there was very little I didn’t like. I mean there was one moment there were I was about to have a hissy fit but then when I realised Sara hadn’t crushed all my hopes and dreams of a five star read I actually felt like she earnt a high five for giving me a heart attack.

All of the characters were just perfect, even the arsehole secondary ones that I loved to hate and I am so signing up for the rest of this series. I had laugh out loud moments, I had soaked panty squirming and head palm, eye rolling I just couldn’t put it down. The Texts From Last Night hashtags had me laughing so hard I had to read them all out to hubby. It was so well rounded with sexy, sweet, funny in perfect quantities. I seriously loved it all. I could just keep right on ranting.

I don’t think I have read an Aly Martinez book that hasn’t stolen part of my soul. So when I was awarded an ARC of Retrieval I was so excited and so apprehensive. You see these are not books you can read for an hour here and 20 minutes there as you shuttle the kids to basketball and football and school and soccer. These are books you need to clear a few hours of your day and find a quiet room to hide out in as you become fully immersed in the story.

So I had a plan. I was going to read it Saturday afternoon but then I slowly watched the day dwindle away and when I sat down at 9pm I knew I had missed my opportunity so I bitched to hubby and he cleared me a Sunday arvo. And now I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face NEEDING to get my grabby hands on Transfer.

Elisabeth was so sweet and I loved that she was so filled with attitude and spirit, she didn’t once do something stupid or try to punish Roman she just knew how she felt and what she wanted and she went after it. I absolutely fell head over heels for her. I loved knowing where she was coming from and how she got where she got in her life and emotions.

But damn was she one strong willed woman to walk away from the amazeballs of Roman. Holy shit was he all that you could ever want in a book boyfriend and then just a whole heap more. In fact I think he transcends book boyfriend by far. I just could not get enough of him ever.

But I’d never, not once, seen Elisabeth with just my eyes. My heart was just as much a part of the way I viewed her as my retinas.

To be completely honest, the concept of infertility is a hard one for me to grasp and reading the absolute heartbreak Roman and Elisabeth went through in their struggle my heart broke for them. But to continue the honesty I think most of those emotions were pulled out of me by the amazing talent of Aly more so than the subject. But damn did I feel their pain like a knife to my stomach.

I can never get enough of the way Aly Martinez writes and I honestly think she must have the map to my heart for the men that she writes have all got a piece of it locked away. And now I am off to beg, borrow or steal to get my hands on Transfer before I have a nervous breakdown waiting to see what is going to happen next. This is absolutely one of the best books I have read this year, I honestly don’t know how to put it down and continue functioning without knowing what happens next but if you will excuse me for a bit I think I may start by going to cry in the shower for Claire. Until I focus on the many assets of Roman to cheer myself up that is.

Oh my god this book was so exactly what I needed I can’t even begin to get my mind around it. First I need to explain that when I saw this book a month ago I thought it sounded sweet but I kind of forgot all about it. Then it rocked up on my kindle and I wasn't really in the mood for it but I figured I had better read it. Within minutes I was hooked.

So why wasn't I in the mood for it? First I need to tell you I am in a completely basketball dominated household despite being an avid AFL fan. And coming to the end of our season here I have been attending something basketball related 7 days a week for the last 5 months. So to say I am over basketball is a slight understatement.

Then I pick up this book and it's about college basketball. I seriously thought my head might explode. But then Ainsley. Sweet, beautiful, caring Ainsley. And Cade. Holy hell Cade. These are the types of books that make me love new adult novels. The ones that break off a little piece of my heart and wrap it up in their pages.

Ainsley has never had anything easy in her life. She has been the only thing she can count on her entire life and has never known anything but instability. She has worked her arse off for everything she has and to provide a safe environment for her sister. Then she bumps into Cade and damn was he a self centered, entitled, man whoreing arsehole.

Cade has just made the stupidest decision of his life and with it he is faced with losing everything he has worked towards. With his last year at college in jeopardy he is forced to accept responsibility for his mistakes and set about fixing them. Then he bumps into Ainsley and his focus shifts.

Destiny.
That one word has my tummy fluttering thinking back on how we connected. Not once. Not twice. But three times we ran into each other by happenstance.
Two impossibly opposite individuals with completely different upbringings and circumstances. Yet, we meshed. It’s like what Cade said TV sports announcers call a perfect shot.
“Nothing but net, baby.”

And I felt their connection to the depths of my soul. Cade made me feel not just the amazing amounts of chemistry these two had but also a really solid emotional connection despite their completely polar lifestyles and experiences. It wasn’t easy and there were bumps along the way but he never once doubted that they were meant to be together nor did he ever do anything to make me doubt his utter devotion to Ainsley.

I fell in love with them both and I had so many moments where I was holding my breath waiting to see what was going to happen next. I only put the book down long enough to wipe the tears from my eyes, not all of them sad.

Before I forget I should mention that while there were basketball references you don't need to be a basketball fan to follow the story and it wasn't sport heavy he just happens to be a player. There were a few references to plays and such but they wouldn't detract from the story if you didn't understand them.

This is the first book by Sierra Hill that I have read but I am now slightly obsessed. I am seriously dying to see how this series continues and who is going to get the next book and when I can get my hands on it. If you're a new adult fan you need to one click this right now and clear a few hours off your schedule to sit down and meet Cade and Ains.

What’s a girl to do when she literally has a dozen books she has to read? One clicks a different one and reads it in one sitting because it’s the new Ginger Scott novel of course. I have been waiting a month to read this book but I managed to stop myself pre ordering it because I knew I had too many other books to read but of course I couldn’t make myself sit down and read any of them for the last two days waiting for this one to release so I caved and spent a rainy Saturday in bed and I couldn’t be happier.

Ginger Scott always makes me feel so much for her characters, not just the things they are going through but just them in general. I love them. But in this case I also had a load of holy shit is that for real moments. I feel like I went to a whole other world that just doesn’t line up with mine. See I have 2 boys who play representative level sport (the highest level they can play for their ages in Australia) and I can’t comprehend that level of high stress ever being put on a sport, especially high school kids and coaches.

As I got lost in this book I literally felt like a 16 year old girl with her first crush. I fell so hard for Nico, I wanted to run away with him and have his children (sorry honey). He was absolutely perfect. He was so smart and caring and loving and just wow. I feel like I am sitting here with my mind screaming I can’t, I just can’t even, words and stuff. That was the perfection of Nico and all that he was and all that he overcame to get to the dreaded “the end” when I wasn’t ready to leave yet.

And Reagan was awesome too. She felt so genuine, I loved her nerdiness and her lack of all of the cliché dramatics. She was comfortable in her position in her life and watching her fall in love with Nico was beautiful. There were no insecurities, or tantrums over misunderstandings there was just life and all the associated pains and disappointments that occur when two people come from very different backgrounds and each have their own crosses to bear and I fucking loved it.

I was so invested I feel like I held my breath for half of the book, trying to guess what was going to happen or trying to figure out what had happened. I loved all of the supporting characters especially Sasha and (her BF) and I would love to see them all get their own book or maybe a novella of college life because I seriously don’t think I could get too much of these guys.

On that note I am off to dream of Nico.

There’s so much I want to say about this book but I honestly FEEL you need to go into it not knowing what to expect.

When I saw the cover and read what little there is for a blurb I had an idea of what the book was about and if you’re thinking what I was you’re right. But there was so much more.

As I got into this book I was so hooked, I couldn’t put it down. It’s so beautifully written and the story was perfect. I thought I knew what was going to happen and I was right and then I was so so wrong.

I went through all of the emotions. I was pissed, I was gutted, I was so happy I was smiling like an idiot and I loved every word of it.

Ridge was everything you could ask for in a leading man. Oh my god I fucking loved him. I did have a very brief moment of doubt near the beginning but damn did he redeem himself.

But in the interest of full disclosure I will say the editing was a little rough but I can excuse that in an ARC. Also the last 15% I didn’t see coming and it hit me like a mack truck, and for me I loved it but some may think it was a little over the top but what do you want in fiction if not an awesome story that makes you swoon and feel a full range of emotions?

Now take a long look at that cover while you one click it because you won’t get to see it again until you have read the last word. Then you can join my stalking to beg the author for the rest of the guys to get their own books.

I don’t know where to start to explain to you how amazing this book, this series and this author are. I feel like anything I say at this point is redundant. Everything Katy Regnery writes has this ability to crush me then make me feel like all is right in the world. And from the very first book her Modern Fairytale series has been pure gold.

Dark Sexy Knight is no different. I knew I had to have it from the second I saw the blurb and as soon as it landed on my kindle I just had to pick it up and read it. I normally feel a little guilt when I one click a new book knowing I already have  heaps of books on my kindle just waiting for me to read them but knowing that a percentage of the sales from these books go to amazing causes I actually feel like I have to buy them as quickly as possible.

Verity is sinking, drowning under the weight of a life without luck and a special needs brother who is her whole world since the death of her parents, until she meets Colt. Colt swoops in to play knight in shining armour despite his feelings of self-loathing and his own battles with his inner demons.

This book truly is a love story. And from their very first meeting I could feel the chemistry between them like a string pulling them together.  I felt so personally invested in their relationship that when everything seemed to be perfect and I realised I was only at 50% my stomach was in knots trying to guess what was going to go wrong or how these two were going to be tested. And when it happened I was right even as I was entirely wrong and I loved it.

I spent half of this book with a huge smile on my face and the other half with tears in my eyes or streaming down my face. The only negative for me personally is I would have liked to see a little more recompense for everything they went through. But then that epilogue was so beautiful I guess I can live without it and just sit back and think about the great things to come in their future.

Oh god. I think knowing what Caroline and Noel went through I always just assumed that Brandt and Colton had been too young to have experienced their own issues. I mean other than the poverty and neglect their mother forced them to live through but reading that prologue had me heartbroken before I even started.

Don't get me wrong I know going in that Linda is going to have me ugly crying for half the book but geez ease a girl in a little.

I have been obsessed with the Forbidden men since the very beginning so how this book snuck passed me I don’t even know but as soon as I saw it on my GR feed I immediately one clicked it and cleared my calendar and damn was it worth every second of pretending I couldn’t hear the kids calling me.

The never ending prologue was amazeballs I loved seeing them grow from first meeting to present and seeing the families around them that I feel so invested in grow and change. Especially seeing it from a whole new perspective in Brandt and Sarah’s eyes.  And seeing how all the things that all the other couples went through in an outside perspective made me relive the read so I almost got the feeling of re-experiencing all those books again and damn the feels were awesome.

“Ten? You think Caroline is sneaking off with Ten? No way. That’s whack.”

I felt like I knew these characters going into the book so to see them as adults in their own story was perfect.  And while I did know their history and parts of the background there was so much that had not been told or had been told from a different perspective leaving their part of it out. And then there was the NOW part of the story that hadn’t been told yet. That showed us not only Sarah and Brandt but everyone they love.

Everything I love about this series was front and foremost in this book. Brandt lived up to the Forbidden Men title and in some aspects he even exceeded it. He had the possessive, alpha thing nailed. & although I would have much preferred him to have not been so promiscuous before he was with Sarah it was so understandable it was never really an issue.

“I just want one time, one experience to check off my bucket list. And then we can go on as if it never happened.” As if it never happened, huh? Right. Just fuck the girl of my dreams, the person I loved above all others, and then carry on and forget about it.

Sarah was so strong and determined I couldn’t help but love her to pieces and there were so many times I felt my heart break for her during this book but she never stopped fighting. But damn did she have to have so many struggles? Now I know that most of that was part and parcel of her cerebral palsy and I in no means wanted to see that downplayed I just wanted Brandt to be able to wave a magic wand and have her life be sunshine and rainbows.

“He...Seth called me...the c-word.” Reese gasped. “Cunt?” I laughed softly and shook my head. “No. Cripple.”

And now I just have to up my author stalking since I have obviously been slipping and I can’t wait for Colton’s story.
