I honestly picked up and put down this book half a dozen times. We have had so much on and the kids have been so painful this week I think I read those first two pages about five times. Then I finally got an hour of quiet to push past those first few pages and I was so invested in this story.

Since this is the first book I have read from this author I had no idea what to expect. And a few early reviews I checked out mentioned that this was an emotional story. And I don't know what I was thinking when I read the blurb but that wasn't what I was expecting from this book.

With that said the emotions in this book felt so honest and I was right behind the characters reactions to everything they went through. But I wasn't expecting Easton to be the amazing man that he was. Because he honestly was so awesome, I just wanted to curl up in his arms while I read this book.

Violet wasn't a bad leading lady she just didn't deal with the drama very well. But in saying that I actually can't say I blame her for the way she dealt with It because geez that was vicious. I seriously wanted her to get some revenge but that's probably my vengeful nature because Easton dealt with It beautifully.

And now that I know how great Kristin's writing is and how much I loved the characters in this book I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.
