First can I acknowledge how fucking hot the name Knox Gentry is. Because yeah not only was his name smoking but he lived up to it and I am a huge fan.
Now I have to mention that although this is a 4 star read for me I am really disappointed about that. For nearly 80% of the book I was obsessed, I thought I had a 5 star read. I was waiting for the drama, for the other shoe to drop and when it did I thought ok I can handle that, let's see how Meghan turns this around.
But I hate to admit I couldn't handle it. I hated the way Meghan turned things around. I feel like a toddler lying on the floor pounding my fists because I wanted peanut butter toast and instead I got peanut butter sandwiches. I got the ending I wanted and the epilogue was perfect (a little late for my liking but we got there) and the beginning was amazeballs it was just that 15 to 20% at the end.
Em was great. I loved her and I love, love, loved her and Knox. I even got where she was coming from after everything her ex put her through so I understood the decision she made even if I thought she was an idiot. And if only Knox had taken the advice given to him I would have been one super happy camper.
Oh well here we are. Crying about a four star read. Those first world problems can be a real bitch. Now I am off to drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine.
