I picked this up straight after finishing The Bribe and I have zero regrets. I went in knowing who the two main characters were and with so many ideas on the why’s and how’s and for the main part I was spot on. But the book was so well written that I didn’t really even think about it, I just needed to know what was going to happen next.

The whole story was pretty straight forward, and I’ll be honest I was expecting a little more drama at the end and maybe a little more closure (for lack of a better word) and I am a touch disappointed. The ending felt kind of rushed and I was expecting a few more of the earlier concepts to be fleshed out a little more.

Hux and Everly were both beautiful, slightly damaged characters who I thoroughly enjoyed watching fall for each other. And I really loved each of them and Savannah was very on point for a troubled, teenage girl. I am so happy these are on KU and I can binge my little heart out because now I’m off to grab the next book and see if we get more of these guys and our other beautiful Calamity residents.
