Every time I pick up a Sarina Bowen novel I’m reminded why most of her books are 5 star reads for me. I know I love her writing and her books but then I’m five pages in going “oh that’s right I love, love her.” And I can’t put the book down. And it seriously doesn't matter if it's a MF or MM couple, I am equally as obsessed.
As for this one, Beck and Forest were just both so amazing and beautiful and just everything. I couldn’t get enough of Beck. He was so young and insecure while also being sweet and mature and brave. He was so quirky and hilarious and from the beginning I loved him and wanted all his dreams to come true.
Forest was just as easy to love but he was so guarded, for good reason. But those reasons didn't make me want to scream at him any less for not diving on Beck and just letting himself be loved by him. Luckily he had an amazing group of friends to help him dislodge his head and see what he was holding himself back from.
The book was perfect and I loved seeing all the original cougars couples and singles. And meeting a few new ice cats, who hopefully appear in future books. Please tell me that there are future books. And OMG I’m going to be seeing this amazingly talented author next week in Perth where I can word vomit all over her like Beck.
