I have been simultaneously dying to get my hands on this book and dreading it. I love this series, the characters have been awesome, each of their stories have been amazing. And coach was a character who I was really looking forward to getting to know better. Plus the last book of the series has to be coach’s, it just maths.
But second-chance is so not my thing and if you’ve read the other books you know that Coach bumps into Ari when her husband introduces them. And TBH that makes me feel a little squirmy. If you haven’t read the other books it’s not a deal breaker as they are all standalones, they just have interconnected characters. And you may as well read them since they are all awesome.
Anyway back to coach aka Shane and Ari’s story. So this was told in dual pov, along with past and present tense, and lucky for my goldfish brain it was very clearly marked where we were at. Which meant we got to see them fall in love and break and get a complete feel for each of their feelings and I loved it.
Now I am not going to go into the actual story except to say it was so well written and I loved it. There was some light cheating, which I didn’t love but it wasn’t anything that was hard to justify so I didn’t dwell on it. The epilogue was a nice little wrap up and I am sad to see these guys go but I feel like all my ribbons are tied in beautiful bows and I can put it down with a fond smile.
