Readers Retreats: Bennett Mafia by Tijan

Damn that was one addictive read. I am not normally a fan of mafia romance but the blurb for this book grabbed my attention from the first time I read it and I am so glad I decided to pick it up and read it despite my mafia misgivings.

Now I have to be honest and say that Riley kind of annoyed me. She went from poor little victim to bad arse to helpless kitten too many times. Just when I would start to like her she would make me roll my eyes at her actions.

Kai on the other hand was the aloof, cold and calculating guy you would expect from a mafia boss. But of course we saw his soft, caring side shine through with his family and especially Riley.

Tijan is such an awesome author that I couldn't put it down and even though it was heavy on the mafia elements I still found myself totally engrossed. Hopefully Tijan decides to write books for the rest of the Bennett siblings because I am hooked.
