When I started reading this book I had no idea it was a novella. To be completely honest I was hooked from the title. Then throw in it was a new adult, college, brothers best friend romance and I was adding it to my TBR. So when I finally picked it up and started reading it, I was a little upset by how quickly the pages flew bye.

But for a full length novella I probably wouldn’t have liked it as much as I did reading it as a novella. Firstly the writing was a little tell not show about some things but they were the exact right things for that to be about as they just added background as to what was happening to the characters at that point rather than being part of the actual story.

I sat down to read this after a long car trip when I just needed to unwind and relax and this book had me wrapped from the first page. And even better was that because of it’s size I read it in the one sitting before I crashed and it was the perfect sweet escape. It had a little (tiny bit) of angst and drama but for the main part it was a sweet story.

Corbin and Hayley were great, relatable characters and the writing was good. And now that I know it’s a series of novellas I will be signing up for them all. Because this was a great late evening read to relax to.
