I have only read one other book by Veronica Eden but it stuck with me. So, when I saw this one, I was super excited to get my hands on it. Added bonus is it's on KU so it was a no brainer to jump into this for my lazy Mother’s Day morning in bed and it was not what I was expecting from the blurb.

 

I was expecting a lot of drama and angst and it just didn't ever hit the way I was anticipating. From the start I was invested in both Maya and Easton, and I liked them both individually. Each of them were just really likeable, awesome characters and I loved all of their friends too.

 

Easton was so all in and unafraid to let everyone know how he felt and what he wanted. Neither he nor Maya played games or had any stupid miscommunication. And things I thought were going to cause drama just got sorted so effortlessly it made the book really easy to read and get lost in. Especially since the complete lack of drama was made up for with some smoking hot sex scenes and some awesome chemistry between.

 

I can't wait to see the rest of the series unfold and get to know all the other characters better. There are so many of them I can't wait to see get their happily ever after.
