Ok so I kinda went a little crazy stalker after
reading Sweetness and when I heard about Sweet Girl I HAD to get my grabby
hands on it. But then I freaked out. What if it couldn’t live up to the
standards I was expecting? What if Van wasn’t all that I thought he was going
to be. What if him and Ky did something unforgivable?
I mean its
Ky and Van. If you haven’t read the first one you absolutely could read this as
a stand-alone, but having read the first one and having been introduced to Ky
and Van I felt their connection but I also knew they were too sweet to ever let
anything but friendship develop between them. So how did they get from Van’s
long term relationship with his high school sweetheart to having their own
story?
So I have to admit I fell hard for the sweet and
sexy Van and I was so scared something was going to happen that would make me
doubt him but damn did he only get better as we delved deeper into his layers.
He was just beautiful and I loved every second of him.
Ky was as beautiful as the book title suggests.
She was the sweetest, most caring, kind, wonderful woman ever and I absolutely
adored watching her blossom as her friendship with Van grew and developed. The
interaction between Ky and her family was fun to watch and I had a few laugh
out loud moments at her hilarious twin sister, Kady.
This book was the perfect mix of sweetness (as
you would expect) and heartbreak. I went from tears to sighs and right back
again. I inhaled every word in one sitting and felt every emotion and it has
just further cemented my love of Sierra Hill. I can’t wait for the next one, I
really was hoping that it might be Kady’s story next but then I can’t say I am
disappointed it is going to be Carver’s. Although I can already feel my stomach
clenching wondering how that’s going to play out.
I can’t recommend this series enough so if you’re
looking for a new adult, college romance this is it. If the basketball theme is
throwing you off don’t panic the references are few and far between and you
don’t need to know anything about the sport to enjoy this book. So go one click
this one now. Honestly there are no excuses not to dive into this sweet series
right now.
